And some more to add. I don't post frequently and was lazy to post that. So now this may look like some thoughts in hindsight, but whatever.
I had some 06-07 Heat vibes from Raptors. Heat were probably Wade injury away from making finals in 05, but decided to make some major roster changes and it payed off in 06. But they didn't do the same next year and got an embarrassing 1st round exit because most of the supporting cast was on a major decline and about to retire + they lost some motivation after finally winning a championship. Yeah, Lowry and Gasol had a solid playoff run, but they are declining, same as Ibaka (who overachieved along with VanVleet imo) and Green (who was already a disappointment most of the time). So what ways of improvement Raps had? Siakam further development? OG coming back? Trades? That's all a major concern if he really considered to stay in Toronto. And all that 1+1 deals were not an option considering his previous health issues.

I just meant that knowing what they know now, the Raptors have zero regrets about making the trade. They rolled the dice and traded for a shot at the championship ... and won the championship.

Keeping Kawhi would have just been gravy.

Well, our first round picks in 2021 and 2023 helped the Clippers get George and Kawhi. I actually feel better about that this morning. Raptor fans on this site make me happier than I should be about this

Last season I was thinking about our 2021 pick - it was bounced around so many times so it's just destined to become some journey-man. And now it was traded one more time.

Clippers, Lakers and Philla, Milwaukee are clear contenders from two sides.

Houston, Jazz, Golden State and Boston close.

Jerry West still has it. And he saved our Jimmy Butler trade. God bless that man!

Woj and Shams, only people I trust. Woj is on a other level, apparently last year off season he said Kawhi to Clippers a possibility. He knows things... ultimate insider.

SO much people got exposed, its hilarious.

Clippers in WIN mode now , they gave up a lot of property ( draft picks and a young good prospect pg) for PG 13

It has come out, by Woj, that Presti offered Westbrook and George but Ujiri didn’t like Pascal in the trade.

I don’t know the other components, but saying no to Westbrook/PG just to keep Pascal... man I would have pulled the trigger, especially if it meant keeping Kawhi. Multiple finals appearances for sure.
