People seem to believe the Knicks are going to do what the Nets did after Carmelo was traded to the Knicks.

This is not the Isiah Knicks - no swinging for the fences hoping a 2nd tier guy in his late 20s / early 30s all of a sudden becomes 1st tier.

Betting on the youth and getting "creative" with the roster ( i.e. not overspending) is the only way to get back to respectability and we finally have an FO that understands that.

Agreed he made for NY but his contract is atrocious. Ill rather try to develop DSJ into baby westbrook on that cheap rookie contract lol

I have so much respect for Kawhi. Unlike LeBum and that cupcake KD, he had self respect and didn't take the easy way. This is why when all is said and done, he will go down as the best player of this era.

As for Westbrook, I'd only do it if it's a fair deal. But this is Presti so we'll get bent over.

Heat will actually be decent. I think Jimmy will enjoy being the man and have a great season, they also have some nice 2 way role players like Winslow who know how to defer.

Kyrie is way better than DLo at everything, so much so that fit doesn't even matter. Plus, he'll be motivated to prove he's not a locker room cancer and might actually show leadership (even if it's feigned).

Knicks might be an 8th seed, but it'll take a lot. The youth will really have to ball out to overcome the lack of shooting and awkward mix of players who need the ball in their hands to be effective.

Who could use Westbrook? What do they offer in return? Would be a package for a rebuild or at least swallow that contract.

- Westbrook to Toronto for any of their expiring vets and OG.
- Westbrook to the Lakers in a salary dump wouldn't happen. They have nothing to offer lol
- Westbrook to Orlando for some of their frontcourt talent
- Do the Pelicans have cap space to go after him? Phoenix maybe?

Who would absorb Wall in order to get Beal and contend?

- OKC could send Schroeder back to Washington and try to run with Westbrook, Beal and Adams.

Again, what about NOP or Phoenix?
