This Woj article is wild. Raptors and Clippers both trying to land PG to lure Kawhi but Masai wouldn't give up Siakim the deal. Having them both in Toronto would've been terrible for us, holy ****.

That's what Woj is reporting. Also says they were trying to include Westbrook with PG in a deal to Toronto.

Per Woj: Last night.....OKC offered Paul George and Westbrook to Toronto for Siakam, Lowry, filler, and picks. If it happened Kawhi would’ve stayed in Toronto. They declined the offer.

I don't understand how you turn down the chance to have Kawhi and PG on your team. Even if you have to take on Westbrook and move on from a good player in Siakim, it seems like a no brainer.

Plus there's a chance you can flip Westbrook to another team. The main goal should have been to get Kawhi and PG together and they blew it.

I think I love Kawhi even more, haha. This is the best thing for the Bucks obviously and the NBA next year will be balanced and a lot of fun.

Of course nobody actively wants Russ on that albatross contract but you get PG and Kawhi on your team too. You have to roll the dice on that all day.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he overstated the Toronto trade stuff. The more I think about it, there's just no way Masai turns down any legitimate scenario where he gets to have PG and Kawhi locked up on his team for multiple years.
