What the ****? I woke up this morning and first saw the news that PG had been traded to the Clippers. My first thought was "wow, they must have struck out on Kawhi then. I wonder where Kawhi is going." THEN I saw that Kawhi made his decision. Honestly one of the most bizarre experiences in my life in terms of hearing about NBA news.

I LOVE that Kawhi went to neither the Raptors nor the Lakers. Also that the Clippers' awesome job of building that team up over the past year is paying off.

Yes, you look at that list of top 2 players on each team and there is one team that is obviously lacking and that is Milwaukee.

Middleton as a #3 is very very good. As a 2 not so much.

You want to show Giannis that we mean business? Make the move that needs to be made. Make us a true title contender/favorite for years to come. Go get that guy.

I actually like the Danny Green and Quinn Cook signings for the Lakers.

They also resigned KCP and Javale too which is meh but they are at least ok on non disastrous deals. (KCP is a genius for signing with Klutch, look at all the $$$$ he has milked from LA the past few years.)

Doesnt come close to making up for missing on a 3rd star but none of those deals are longer than two years so not terrible either.

Toronto made a trade for a rental. They knew that and got the best possible outcome, a championship. But let's be for real here, not many will want to live and play outside the US. Granted money can change everything but in this case with KL that isn't a concern. Winning in this case was clearly not enough. Then you add playing for your hometown?? Done.

“Live and Play outside the US” technically correct but once you have Canadian cell service do you really notice it’s out of the US? It would be more of a cultural shock playing in San Antonio or OKC depending on where you are from.

I forgot what player talked on living in Toronto recently but....they said that players don't want to live there. Citing things like channels on TV not being the same (my thought is Hulu, Netflix, etc...lol). Having to have a foreign bank account, cell phone service and things like that.

I for one wouldn't want to live there (nothing against Canada or Toronto). Then again, I am not sure I want to live in WI either so.....

Quinn Cook to Lakers. Pretty decent squad coming together around the big two. Needs some backup forwards though - they only have Dudley and Johnathan Williams rn.

Hard to say they really missed out on any FAs waiting for Kawhi, really. Maybe Seth Curry, though he was overpaid. Ellington and Bullock got way overpaid too. Beverley got quite a lot. O'Quinn, Kanter could've bene useful at their prices.

I love that the Lakers are only the third (or fourth) best team in California, depending on how good Sacramento gets this year. We are going to hear a lot of "when is Giannis's contract up?" because the Lakers are irrelevant. Lakers fans always assume they're going to get every big name free agent even though they haven't gotten one since Dwight Howard (oh I guess Lebron counts, but he just wanted to work on non-basketball stuff). Good luck Lebron and AD, you're perennial underdogs.
