We're still gonna be playing vets over youth to get to 30 wins instead of developing and letting the team win however many games the kids are good enough to win

Then trying to sell stars on the idea of coming to a 30 win team (which isn't really a 30 win team cause the guys that won 30 games are paid too much to be role players when we sign real guys) instead of relying on internal development

Like, seriously look at Brooklyn. Bad contracts for picks, good scouting, developing home grown talent, and they're the ones that ended up with KD and Kyrie, not us. Meanwhile we're going out and signing vets to overpriced contracts, and not old vets that have no problem sitting on the bench the entire year, middle age vets that want playing time so they can get their next big contract, or not taking fliers on really young guys who just want to prove themselves

We’re still doing this. We have like 6 young dudes.

Who are all gonna lose minutes to the guys we signed this year.

Randle's gonna get a ton of minutes being our big signing, Portis is gonna feel he deserves minutes based on his age and how much we're paying him, Ellington and Bullock are both young enough they'll want new contracts and are slight improvements over guys like Trier and Dot

Fiz is gonna rely on these guys to prop him up. Knox is now a full time SF (when he should be a PF), I'd be surprised if Dot and Trier get minutes over Ellington and Bullock, Mitch is gonna have his minutes eaten into by Randle, Portis, and Gibson, Frank's just not gonna play for us ever, and Payton's gunning for the starting job over DSJ

You're kidding yourself if you think we're not hot for that 30 win mark over everything else

The # 1 Drama Question will be does Fiz pull a Jeffy and overplay the vets to save his job or does he achieve a balance between playing to win and developing the kids.

Fiz was brutal with his justifications for some of his roster changes last year and I would have preferred he just do whatever he does while zipping it. Fiz talks too much.

If Fiz can coach or not will be answered in full.

Whether or not he can coach while developing youth is the other question.

the picks are still risky because kawhi is not really healthy and the west is rough. but they have a good enough team without him that they can survive the load management which i guess is a prerequisite to signing him.

julius randle is still our best player...that team overall is not that good. Also the guys you mentioned can shoot require someone to create for them and pass them the ball. And our PG situation is pretty meh to me.

who said we were good ? . you don't think the team we have now can match the success of the 2016-2017 or 2017-2018 knicks ? of course they can. both of those teams were .500 for the 1st two months.

and as much as we kill those teams. Melo was still better than anyone on the current roster now. As well as KP.

mitch gives you what kp gave you on defense and randle will give you the offense. it's not much different.
