Dallas and ATL are the only places left that can take on a sizeable amount of salary. OKC/hou/dal three team for Russ/CP?
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Isn't Paul's contract situation even worse than Russ'?

Yeah, but he also fits in Dallas pretty well

trade westbrook to miami. westbrook for dragic, johnson and herro. maybe another draft pick. offer a schroder / waiters swap as additional compensation if necessary.

I thought dragic had already been traded. I'd probably ask for protections taken off the pick and try to include Bam.

sure. it's hard to know how much they would value westbrook. there's a framework there and owning their picks gives additional flexibility. i don't think we'd get bam. but it'd still a decent trade without him especially with protection adjustments.
dragic and / or gallo could be used to reduce tax bill before the season starts.

Damn wish we could send Westbrook to the Lakers...but no way it can happen (salary cap/no lakers with big salary to dump etc.)

I just woke up to this glorious news. I was expecting to have a bad day since I'm about to head to work, but it is now a great day that can not be ruined. It took Presti a few more years to figure it out than it should have, but he seems to have finally accepted that OKC needs to rebuild. Now he just needs to make a few more minor moves and things will be looking up.
Who wants to give up a 1st for Grant? Anybody want Adams for picks, I'll take a fringe prospect and a pair of 2nds since all of ours are going out from stupid trades. I don't think Russ gets traded. I think Russ stays to put on a show for the fans and be the draw for a lottery team while he continues to put up triple doubles that everyone except a few OKC fans know doesn't help with winning. That winning percentage in triple double games is going to take a big hit.

Russ for Kuzma, but it has to happen before they execute the AD trade. They were going to sign Kawhi with space so without checking I'm assuming they could fit in Russ. They were going to be trading for AD with salary matching if they had got Kawhi.

Who else? Doesn't work salary wise. And Lakers would be way over the tax.

Which is why we should focus on what will be good for us only and let the chips fall where they may.

Russ reportedly wasn’t happy with Paul George. I can’t imagine he’s content without him. I’ve said the only way russ gets traded is if it’s what he wants and that’s what it sounds like.

I've yet to hear any problems between Russ and PG..can you share links to articles that talk about rift between the two?

I mean he wasn’t happy with a team that had George. He’s less likely to be happy now that he’s gone.

No way Presti offered Westbrook to the Raptors without him knowing this. So yeah we know Westbrook wants to leave. Problem is how and where. It's going to be very difficult to trade him right now after having his worst year as a pro since his rookie year (not that I think he's going to be better next year but...)
