Where do the raptors go from here?

They lost their franchise player and danny green. They are left with lowry, siakam, og, ibaka and marc gasol. That is probably good enough to get into the playoffs but they wont make it deep.

Depends on Siakim.

If they keep their defensive identity I think they can still make it back to the finals, and after that who knows.

On siakam's shoulders from here on out. Still a better player to give the keys to than most "young franchise players" out there imo.

The keys to the city will be given to Siakam. He's about to flourish into a superstar next year.

Try to get an asset for Lowry at the deadline, build around Siakam, hang that banner.

siakim goes out and wins 19-20 MIP and MVP. if that happens, raps are fine.. haha but either way. pivot another year around ibaka, gasol, lowry, siakim and FVV. OG will be back. powell hopefully improves. should still be a playoff team. 3-4th seed. margin of error is lower

You forgot to mention the Dutch Bro. Yeah, I agree, it's not a LeBron leaving Cleveland type of situation, they are still a pretty good team and should have no trouble getting into the playoffs. Most likely they won't go far, but one shouldn't underestimate the heart of a champion and they still have quite a few talented young players, who like SIakam can develop into an X-factor. So, I think, there is still an outside chance we'll see them back in the Finals.

Is Siakam going to move to the SF position now that Leonard is gone?

I trust Masai. I'm glad he didn't take Westbrook in the deal. I think OG will take a big step this year and Siakam will still improve.
They won't win it next year but with a good young core they might be able to secure Giannis in a couple of years. Masai helped him get his Greek citizenship so he could play in the NBA.
Having won a chip I think it's important to stay relevant for ten years and win a couple of titles (I know that it's a big if). There's nothing guaranteed if those three come to the raptors. Between Westbrook's ball hogging attitude and Leonard's health it would set the Raps back years to the old days if it didn't work out.
Besides, after seeing the haul OKC got the Raps would have had to have gutted the rest of their Roster. I don't want to be Lakers of the east and have no support or bench.

I think they run it back to start the season. See how well the team will do. I think they could be in a top 3-4 position by midseason. If not, then hit the trade market.

I think there's still too much dollars at stake coming off a championship season to all of a sudden go into rebuilding mode.

Lowry/FVV/Lin
Powell/Matt Thomas
OG/Malcolm Miller
Siakam/Boucher
Gasol/Ibaka

This team has a chance to make the second round IMO.

Raps arent tanking. That squad still wins 50+ and is a tough out in the playoffs. Their days of contending are gone though....very short lived

run it back this year, second round bound.

Next year gasol and lowry contracts will be off the books and they should start the rebuild.

Sign Siakam to a long term deal before he hits free agency.

Gonna depend on the match-up. I expect him to play most of his minutes at the PF position though.

I'm optimistic raptors win 50 games and get to 2nd round. Not hopeful beyond that. But for me that would be an awesome season. I love this team and the commitment they put into the raptors. And yes I think they are still a very good team - lots of reasons to believe they should get to 50 wins. This team could be better than the 59 win team from 2 years ago albeit in a stronger east.
