I like Masai and do think Toronto will be a 50 win team next year unless he breaks them up right now. But they’ve now got a ceiling, 50 wins and a 2nd round ceiling.

They’ll be fine next year I think. But other than Siakim, that team is aging and aging quickly. Masai is going to have to completely reinvent that roster if he wants to remain competitive in the next 5 years.

What the ****? I woke up this morning and first saw the news that PG had been traded to the Clippers. My first thought was "wow, they must have struck out on Kawhi then. I wonder where Kawhi is going." THEN I saw that Kawhi made his decision. Honestly one of the most bizarre experiences in my life in terms of hearing about NBA news.

I LOVE that Kawhi went to neither the Raptors nor the Lakers. Also that the Clippers' awesome job of building that team up over the past year is paying off.

And that wasn't even the half of the BA's day. Zion Williamson got hurt in his very first summer league game then an earthquake knocked out the entire Summer League for a day.

But no one even remembers them three weeks later. Their whole thing got sucked up in the GSW, LeBron, Kawhi roster vortex. It’s as if that title never even happened.

He’s got a 12 hour suspension. That initial run was sort of funny, but then went downhill. Impressive though that he seemed to know who Sneaky Pete was ten years later.

PG and Kawhi seem like they could get along well, too. Obviously both have an affinity for LA (even if PG ultimately chose OKC last offseason), but both also seem pretty understated.
