Sometimes I think we have some great basketball minds on the board...

Then I see people advocating for Russell Westbrook to be a Buck and I shudder and remind myself that I give people the benefit of the doubt too often. I wouldn’t take that guy on our team for free.

Adding Westbrook to the Bucks might be the most damaging thing that you could do to the odds of retaining Giannis.

I disagree. If Giannis likes playing with Bledsoe I don't see how he wouldn't love playing with Westbrook. Someone on the roster to match Giannis intensity and passion for the sport is exactly what Giannis needs. A superstar playmaker to help shoulder the load is never going to hurt another superstars opinion of a team in general.

Westbrook has played in the finals, been a league mvp and played along side a league mvp, hes a superstar and this league is driven by superstars. I believe 100% it would work great for us to pair the 2.

Just my opinion of course but I just dont see how the Bucks can be good with Bledsoe and then not good with the superstar version of Bledsoe....

Westbrook is a risk worth taking. Boom or bust potential. Could totally shred the Eastern Conference. Or could blow up.

VanVleet into our trade exception? Would have to send assets out but not sure what really.

Lowry would be great but hard to make the contracts work.

Westbrook is a poor fit... and a great talent. If he could buy into the system and play D again, tho

If Toronto wouldnt trade Siakam, that says to me they will try to build around him and its not as if he's a young player. If they do blow it up, though, would love to rummage through their rubble for a usable piece.

I can't even believe we're having the Westbrook discussion...then again, we seem to fancy terrible fits on this board.

We just love theoretical trades, it's our thing.

The board just went nuts over Middleton's deal (and he can actually shoot), and now we want to add Westbrook's dead money? Hell no.

Also Bledsoe and Westbrook are very different players. Bledsoe still plays defense and can cover point guards, Russ can't. Bledsoe does a good job getting the ball to Giannis to run the offense, Russ still pounds the air out of the ball most possessions. I don't see the comparison.

I know isn't it stupid to want a PG that averages a triple double and can breakout down a defense everytime

If he wasn't dumb as bricks, a terrible shooter, on an awful contract, and completely dependent on athleticism maybe

Which superstar you want? Russell Westbrook or Cheick Diallo? Easy choice for me.

Im not even a Westbrook fan, theres a plethora of guards I'd rather have over Bledsoe. But Westbrook is 100% one of them and Westbrook is now the most available superstar on the market and is only available via trade which is the only way we could pair another star with Giannis.

Ppl worrying about Giannis leaving should be on board with Russ more than anything. Showing Giannis we will go out and acquire a superstar for better or worse is exactly what will keep him in Milwaukee long term.

Making the finals in a depleted conference is cool and everything but not being able to beat the west could force Giannis' hand when the time comes.

Im just leaving this comment to let the rest of the board know that I accidentally +1’d this post. I in know way agree with this ridiculousness and the opinions of this poster do not reflect the opinions of Ill-yasova or any other person in the Ill-yasova household. Westbrook can kick **** rocks.

Westbrook has never won anything of note and has now run two MVP candidates out of OKC. PASS

Russell Westbrook is a selfish me-first ballhog who wants the team to be all about him. He is a chemistry killer. That would be the absolute worst thing the Bucks could do.

If anyone actually thinks the Bucks will consider Westbrook, please exit stage left. Thanks!
