This trade works in trade machine;

Westbrook and Adams for Hayward Smart Yabu, Romeo and add picks if needed, idk if it Russ can play the 2 but you’d have

Kemba/Wannamaker/Waters
Westbrook/Edwards
Brown/Semi
Tatum/williams/Theis
Adams/Kanter/Williams

A lot of people don't like Westbrook here.

But the guy gives 100% every night. He is now 30 years old, he might be a little more mature and understand that he has to share the ball and play for the team, not for the stats.
I guess he is a little angry after KD and PG departures.

Westbrook and Adams would be like 65M incoming. That's a lot of salary to match.

Besides him.

Lou Williams

Lou Williams and Montezl Harrell came in 1st and 3rd for 6th men of the year.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Celtics only need to come up with $52 million. It can be done. Better question is should it?

It’s not always about playing hard, though. He plays a dumb non winning brand of basketball. He would tank any chance we had at a championship.

After the Kyrie experience, I am doubling down on my belief that you need smart, unselfish basketball players in this modern league. It’s not enough to have raw talent anymore. The game has evolved too much.

What big move though? There's nothing out there to be had. I would be ok with a 'medium' move to upgrade the PF spot. We need to be looking for opportunities to get a steal..our guys dropped too low in value after that ridiculous season. It's time to build it back up with a successful showing. If that happens we should be huge players at the deadline.

Perhaps kick the tires on Westbrook and Adams. I recall rumors of Ainge having lots of interest in Westbrook a few years ago.

He spent last two years stealing rebounds from Steven Adams so he can get meaningless triple-doubles. That's how much he cares about winning.

'17, '18 and '19 playoffs he shot 38%, 39% and 36% from the floor. Turns 31 in November, makes $40m a year for the next 4 seasons, a non-shooter whose game depends on athletic ability, plays the same position as our newly acquired all-star PG... Should I continue?

Westbrook is the last thing any team trying to win needs. You trade for him if you want to sell tickets.

Ainge wouldnt have signed Kemba if this George trade was announced earlier.

Kawhi and the Clippers all played it well out. They first waited for every top FA to sign somewhere else. If they announced it earlier teams would have looked at Westbrook and Adams as trade options as well.

They specially screwed the Lakers with stalling their announcement.

We're like a +2000 tied with the Nuggets or something. I'd put money on us. Not my money. But yeah, I'd put money on us.

If westbrook can commit to being a consistent good shooter, bring him on. He needs to play in a system. Iso ball is not how you win.

No thanks. Hard pass for me. Both guys are extremely overpaid and overrated.

He doesn’t play in a system because he doesn’t want to. He’s the reason they play iso ball.

No one can simply commit to being a consistent, good shooter either. Wish it were that easy.

Kemba
Russell Westbrook
Jayson Tatum.

Not a bad lineup although i would prefer James Harden.

Anyone who is suggesting Westbrook and his massive dumpster contract come to the Celtics clearly hasn't watched any actual basketball from the last two years and should be banned from this board. What do I know, though? I'm new here.

It would save OKC a lot of money and yes only had to get to 52 mil to match salary. IT sounds like OKC is trading everybody now so they would want young players Salary relief and picks. i Know Ainge likes stars, just a thought. I’m not sure if Kemba/Russ backcourt would work anyway

Don't see how this George trade has an effect on the Celtics...

If anything, the East and league in general are more open because he left the Raptors and didn't form a LeBron superteam.
