You don't want to tie your cap space to above average players, who wouldn't make you significantly better. Think big. James Harden, Russell Westbrook etc.

Westbrook doesn’t make teams better, though. He makes them worse.

Westbrook can't be a "consistent good shooter"

Just not his game.

Thing to worry about Russell Westbrook

Inconsistent Shooter. Good scorer though.
Plays Hero ball.
Age. He is 30.

Other than that he is a great player, and a future hall of famer.

You at least inquire about the player, and the cost.

You think the Thunder go for a rebuild? If so I’d love to inquire on Gallinari

He also has chronic knee issues he has surgery on in most off-seasons that has resulted in a diminishing return on the athleticism that had once made him a premier front-line player.

Lou Williams

Lou Williams and Montezl Harrell came in 1st and 3rd for 6th men of the year.

Trez, Lou and some warm bodies on the wing was the best bench unit in the league last year and will be again this year.

Trez is criminally underrated. Guy is flat out good at this point.

Like kabengele as a prospect. Jerome robinson could show improvement this year too.

Something's gotta give. Can't see Ainge finished with the starting lineup. It's simply not good enough.

This Westbrook to Celtics talk is lunacy. Kemba is our PG, end of story.

Westbrook hasn't won anything in this league. He's been playing the same brand of basketball his whole career, he's not going to change his game dramatically at this point.

He's ball-dominant. We've already got guys like Kemba and Tatum that are better with the ball in their hands. He can't shoot, his FT shooting sucks, he takes too many dumb shots, and his game will be much less effective when his athleticism goes. At age 30 that isn't very far in the future.

OKC is still 9.5 mil over the lux tax threshhold I believe. They'll continue to look to shed most likely. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not a good cap person.

Kawhi and the Clippers all played it well out. They first waited for every top FA to sign somewhere else. If they announced it earlier teams would have looked at Westbrook and Adams as trade options as well.

They specially screwed the Lakers with stalling their announcement.

Don't see how this George trade has an effect on the Celtics...

If anything, the East and league in general are more open because he left the Raptors and didn't form a LeBron superteam.

It doesn't it affected the Lakers more. But knowing Ainge he wouldn't sign Kemba immediately then. He likes Westbrook and Adams.

Most of us over dont like him, including me. I'm all about teamball.

He's actually a teamcancer instead of a teamplayer. But Ainge thinks differently and wouldve discussed with Brad and his staff about Westbrook and Adams. Because right know is actually the moment where Russ is getting hurt and he's probably feeling it that players dont want to play with him. His poor shot selection was one of the reasons why they got kicked out of the playoffs. If he can mature somehow, you'll have a lethal player who'll destroy the rim and rack up ft's.
