Hmm. Bold strategy.

Pretty much him subbed for jrue. That and an older, fatter, gimpier cousins

They were better when they replaced the injured Cousins with Mirotic and put AD at the 5.

Rondo/Green/LBJ/Kuzma/AD is their best starting line-up, IMHO. They will struggle on both ends if they go big.

Clips have a much more balanced squad.

If i could sell lakers title odds i would

I don't what that means other than they still aren't signed.

YESSS! But HOW?

Not sure.
But, I don't think we need him, either.

Do we get the non-taxpayer MLE? That's $9.2M.
We're supposedly Hard-Capped, by the S&T.

I would not be happy with that deal, value wise or fit wise.

I like big 3's with balance.

Kemba/Beal/Tatum is diminishing returns offensively - one of them will have to be the 3rd wheel scoring wise and none of them really have star qualities outside of scoring. Jaylen might be a better fit with those two actually because his man D and quickness attacking off of other scorers.

If Kemba/Tatum are my two cornerstones, I'm gunning for Draymond as my 3rd piece.

don't really want morris back. just another ballstopper, and reminder of last season.

Keeping Mook would be a coup for the Celtics

Honestly the most appealing part of having him back would be for salary in a trade. Good enough to get paid pretty well and not be a negative asset, but not so good that you'd actually miss him much. I'd rather bring back Morris than have to trade Hayward or Smart for anyone worth getting.

we just need Robert W to become Capella, Grant W to become mix of Horford and Tucker, and one of the Jays to become a superstar. then we can make the finals and lose to the Clippers

Maybe Mook wants to follow Kyrie to the Nets?

Please do not use any salary cap magic to bring Morris back. Him not being here is a net positive for this off season. Ball stopping chucker, poor rebounder and weak defender. I think I saw earlier post referring to his defense as a positive. That seems nuts.
I liked his hustle during the playoffs and think there is a place on this league for him just not with us. You would have to trade someone else.

Do we really want Morris? I want Tatum, Brown, and Hayward playing heavy minutes now no more bs of each splitting minutes between each other if Morris is on board. Only way I would want him is if he’s playing the power forward position only.

@Basketballrehab, the account that says Mook wants to re-sign, called Kawhi to the Clippers before anyone else.

He's hit or miss but is more reliable than not IMO.

Yes. You don’t give away quality players if you can keep them. Can always be traded later

Why not? Has he spoken negatively about us before?

We do need a power forward and Mook played his tail off for us in the playoffs. He had some of the best numbers of his career with us. Our bench is thin, so why not?

We have learned nothing if we bring him back.

I'm cool with the long-lost Morris triplet, Trey D. Ballast-Morris
