C) Im guessing they try to recruit Beal and that we offer Brown+Smart+Filler+MEM+2 unprotected future firsts for him.

Beal is not worth any where near that much. Would not be Suprised to see him break down and spend time in hospital and rehab most this year? They will want him gone and give up picks to get him out of there just like wall.

I would not be happy with that deal, value wise or fit wise.

I like big 3's with balance.

Kemba/Beal/Tatum is diminishing returns offensively - one of them will have to be the 3rd wheel scoring wise and none of them really have star qualities outside of scoring. Jaylen might be a better fit with those two actually because his man D and quickness attacking off of other scorers.

If Kemba/Tatum are my two cornerstones, I'm gunning for Draymond as my 3rd piece.

Dray would never resign here.

Why not? Has he spoken negatively about us before?

Yes, after we booed KD the first game vs the Warriors.

He also has the Klutch connection and I cant picture him having any interest in Boston long term.

Please do not use any salary cap magic to bring Morris back. Him not being here is a net positive for this off season. Ball stopping chucker, poor rebounder and weak defender. I think I saw earlier post referring to his defense as a positive. That seems nuts.
I liked his hustle during the playoffs and think there is a place on this league for him just not with us. You would have to trade someone else.

I'm cool with the long-lost Morris triplet, Trey D. Ballast-Morris

Okay, I would be fine with that. Bloated 1+1 deal.

This would ruin my offseason. That said we could use some experienced depth.

And apparently it’s not all about me.

I'm surprised so many people are against Morris coming back. I'd love to see him back on a 1 or 2 year deal. He provides some vet size which this team desperately needs, he doesn't cost anything but cash money, he was one of the few who played with heart and hustle all through the playoffs and he can be a useful potential trade chip later on.

Yeah, he shoots a little too much but I thought he improved slightly with that this past season. Sometimes he's on and it helps the team to win a game, sometimes he's off and it sucks to watch. He's a useful big off the bench. We all want to see Tatum/Brown progress but I think Morris will help this team win games more than he'll be a detriment to the progression of the young guy's careers.

FWIW, if we told Klutch that we’d offer Morris a big deal if we could retain his bird rights by functioning as an over the cap team, you can bet your ass off that Rich Paul [via Ben Simmons] will pressure the **** out of the 76ers to complete a S&T with Horford to allow us to do so.

Didn’t hate Morris (sometimes) last year but don’t want him back. We’d be running into the same issue of too many guys needing minutes 2-4. Just not a great fit roster wise.

Celtics have few experienced players at the 4. Mook would be a steal

Who do we have that's a solid 4?

I'll swap Yabs with Mook in a heartbeat.

Hint: we could trade one of our wings if we re-signed Morris

Smart + Mook + Kanter on the court and getting under the opponents skin could be quite entertaining.

Let's not start this singling out thing again.

Wanted to trade JB for Beal, but now seeing what is happening with versatile wings on the Clippers, I think it's best we keep all our wings for the time being.

Why the hate for Marcus Morris?

Guy is tough as nails, is a legit PF (which we need desperately), can score, competes defensively, and plays a great big brother role to Jayson and Jaylen.

If the deal is short, I’d take him back in a heartbeat. I like Marcus despite his flaws.

He's definitely not going to the Lakers.

Nets apparently signed Kyrie already.
