I think bigger Conley is a likely scenario.
I could sort of see it. Real big kid. In an earlier era he might have been a SG or even a SF. Pretty shifty with the dribble though and appears able to get to the rim. Nice bounce. Looks like he's got tons of potential on defense given that wingspan.
To be honest, when I watched him play against the Warriors, I wasn't as impressed as Clippers fans, who see a very high ceiling for him, like a perennial all star.
But they've certainly watched more of him than I have and he is very young.
I didn't see explosiveness or shiftiness against the Warriors. Most of the time he tried to force his way into the lane or to the rim, pushing off with his off arm rather than using dribble moves to separate from the defender.
He could push off against smaller guys but not when wings like Klay were on him. He could be crafty against slower big men but a lot of times, he didn't shoot, passed it when his initial move, the push off, was stymied. But it's good that he didn't force shots, which kept up his shooting percentage.
Honestly, I thought of a more slender, younger Jarret Jack.
I think he'll be a good player but don't see being an all star multiple times. But he is very young so he could develop more, grow more.
