There was rumors he'd get 20+ in RFA and now that the money has dried up, probably it's tough for him to negotiate with Phoenix. They'll match any other potential offer out there.

If Oubre trusts himself he should sign the QO and then go back out in 2020 when the FA market is weak and he might get a bigger deal.

Sure but is Oubre actually good? This summer was perfect to get paid. Next season there won't be as many teams with cap space and the Suns have no reason developing him if he takes the QO with the intention to leave. It's probably going to end like Capela last year. Eventually they'll find a number that works for both.

I’m all in for gallinari. We need a guy who can both shoot and create his own offense. Perfect fit and seems like we should have enough assets to make it happen.

What do y'all think OKC would want for Gallinari? If they move Westbrook to the Heat they most likely have aboslutely no reason to attempt a playoff run next year. They probably don't have a reason to as is anyway.

Edit: Read somewhere where some pick protection would work against the Heat's favor in trade for Westbrook. Would the Bucks be able to be a third team to facilitate that trade and somehow nab up Gallinari in the process?

I'd have thought he'd get better offers but this would be awesome.

Challenge is contracts are tough to work with Leuer either being stretched or only able to be dealt in a 1 for 1 deal.

Was wondering how contracts might work on a Gallo deal. Everyone nationally wants to speculate on where Russ might end up but Gallo as a 3rd or 4th option somewhere could really boost up some team.

Wouldn't necessarily "got get him" because I don't even really see a way how to do it but I do believe he is massively underrated and could help a team immensely.

For the massive chucking, inefficiencies, flippancy, and ball-hoggery? Do you watch the Western Conference? Russ was patently bad.

EDIT: legit not trying to be an a@@. I just watch a lot of Western Conference games. I legit couldn’t dream up a PG that is more unappealing to me than Westbrook.

Very surprised at the amount of people that want Russ. Think he'd be a terrible fit.

The only thing I currently really despise about Russ' game is his Rondo/Draymond-esque attempts at securing triple doubles. Besides that I still see a guy who is absolutely dominant at controlling the pace of a game and keeping defenders on their heels, much like Giannis. I think the combination of the two would wreck some havoc, especially if Westbook could be reeled in a tad.

OK. That is an understandable take. I disagree with your ‘if he could be reeled in a tad’ proposition. But, I can respect your take. I disagree immensely as I believe Westbrook is a spaz, grotesquely inefficient, an ego-maniac and an utter embarrassment postgame...but, I won’t deny his athletic talent is supreme.

I'm not sure theres a reasonable way to make the salaries match to get Gallinari if trade exemptions cant be packaged with players.

Unless that rule could be worked around by adding a 3rd team?

Something like

OKC receives the 10 million dollar trade exemption, Indy 1st round pick and a player from a 3rd team on a 2 year deal in the 7-8 range

Bucks recieve Gallanari

3rd team receives Ersan for a player in the 7-8 range

Not sure if that's a legal trade but it would save OKC some big tax dollars while adding a 1st and whoever the 3rd team is could get out of an extra year out of a random deal.

We've had some time to digest the trade, but now that it's official, I'm kinda sad.

I still have hope for Westbrook under a new coach. I think he's a terrible fit next to Giannis, but he's supremely talented and a better coach than Donovan won't let him play like it's a video game.

I hope we aren't done for the off-season. I still think this team needs to make a semi-decent splash. Robin Lopez and Wes Matthews just aren't doing it for me.
