No one should feel bad. Am I disappointed that Kawhi left? Yes. But I am so happy that we won the chip. Seeing the streets flooded, the parade, the champagne showers, down 0-2 to the Bucks and be laughed at only to win 4 straight, the bounce, to be up 3-1 to the Warriors, Lowry hoisting that trophy....It's a mesmerizing and exhilarating experience.

People are keep going to say asterisks, or injuries and frankly I don't care. Nothing cheapens this experience. Especially the 1st one ever. I know all these Laker and Celtics fans pointing to the rafters about multiple chips. Well theres a big difference between pointing to a number of banners than experiencing it first hand. Im pretty sure a ton of Laker fans here have never experienced Magics titles or Celtics fans, Birds titles. It's not just lifting the trophy, its experiencing the journey there, including all those past failures like the Wizards sweep and the memes of Lebronto. So Don't feel bad for us. Cause I certainly don't.

Not really. They knew the risk they were taking and it paid off with a championship. They'll need to start rebuilding now but one championship is better than another 2-3 years of frustrating playoff losses thanks to Derozan and Lowry.

Interesting story about OKC supposedly nearly trading Westbrook and PG to Toronto. Wonder how true it is and, if so, what were they asking for?

They did everything right by Kawhi as far as his health, have a terrific coach and front office, a great city, adoring fans, and they just won a title for Pete's sake. And dude still bounced. He can obviously do what he wants as a free agent but I'm gutted for Toronto.

And I know the title makes it "worth it" but if I'm being honest I think I'd be even more butthurt if he left after we just won a title. If they fell short you could say Kawhi left to go compete, but leaving the defending champions makes it hard to not take personal imo. Just my take if I'm putting myself in Raps fans shoes.

If I was a Raptor fan I'd burn my Leonard jersey.

No sane Raptots fan would do that, lol. The guy played hard for them and contributed big time to their first ever championship. Just because he left to go home means they should burn his jersey? Get real

I do, the Raptors bring a different/fun vibe to the league. I think they'll have a legit shot a Giannis in 2021

Yes, of course. I said form the beginning it would be an unprecedented snake move for a franchise player to abandon his title winning team and city and deny them a chance to repeat. And then it happened anyway. It's not supposed to. Toronto did absolutely everything right they could do right except judge the lack of character of the individual.

Enough Toronto fans are trying to play it off as easy come easy go that it gives me pause, but by all rights it should be a sinking stomach gut punch. Just flat sucks for them. Things did not work out the way they are supposed to and their brief moment in the sun is gone just that quick.

We literally bent over for this guy all year.
- Load management
- Kawine and dine
- Gave him the key to the city
- Gave him free plane rides.. we pretty much gave him a free plane
- Pretty much worshiped him like a god

Then he bolts for LA while dragging out the process just so he can team up with PG.
Honestly doesnt feel right for a mercenary like him to hold all of the Raptors playoff records. Ew

Besides, that jersey will have value. He's the Final MVP of the only major championship-winning Toronto sports team in decades. And it could be a long long while before we see another one.

I don't feel bad for Toronto they got a championship out of the Spurs trade. I feel bad for the Spurs they had to trade a top 3 NBA player he wanted out. They were in position to keep him for many years if he wanted to remain a Spur. He wanted to go to Clippers all this time. So if any team I feel bad for it's the Spurs not the Raptors.

Now who knows when we'll ever get that type of fandom from a city. Definitely not the Clippers in LA. Jared Dudley said on Woj's Podcast that when he was on the Clippers (when they were good) it was still a Laker city even though the Lakers sucked.

Toronto showed Kawhi the time of his life and even won a championship. They deserved Kawhi more than both LA teams. Now we have to watch the Clippers dominate while chumps like Beverley run their mouth the entire time. Yuck.
NO. And their douchey fans make it easy to not feel bad for them.

Yeah, Bucks are def better than the Raps this yr. But god your team was so fun to meme.

I mean no Raptors fan is OK with this, but a good portion of us knew that it had a large chance of happening. It was a chance the team took and a risk we all bought into. It would be stupid for us to be caught off guard. We can be disappointed, sure, but getting angry at Kawhi is not rational.

As for the Bucks fans, totally recognize how much it sucks for others to circle around your team and try and poach your star. But if there is one thing that's clear in today's NBA, it's that you win by poaching other teams' stars when the time is just right. So Giannis 2021 it is - may the best team win.

I won't miss that fool Drake but I do feel bad for the fan base.

Sucks to win the championship and your biggest star decides to roll out of town rather than staying to defend the title. That fan base waited decades for a title, they finally got one and now they can't even have a year to relish it and watch their team properly defend it.

Yeah they traded him to the Raptors to spite him and LA. He wins a championship then goes to LA anyway

LOL at Tronto fans thinking they have more than a zero chance at getting Giannis. You got nothing Giannis wants to play with.

You better hope to win the Chip, otherwise Giannis might come to his senses like KG and realize he should of demanded a trade earlier. Good luck with Bledsoe and Middleton as your key pieces.
