Funny enough....d12, parsons and Lin fit what we need on our bench perfectly if any of them could stay healthy

I am least okay with Parsons. The guy is an absolute tool.

Too bad dwight and harden hate each other (and that Dwight probably still doesn't want to be a backup). He's be a good bench big

That contract he got was not good. He was a minimum level guy

Let's get Iguodala. Sign Javale McGee and Faried, and call it a day.

JaVale signed for $4M annually with LA. Faried is mad he didn't play vs GS and I just personally don't care to bring him back
Would rather sign Diallo

With okc blowing it up I hope we try to get Gallinari from them. He played great last year and was somewhat healthier than usual.

He’d fit perfect, don’t think we have anything they want, though. I’d give up a first for him over iggy for sure.

Idk why y'all think Andre doesn't want to be a rocket. He's repeatedly said he was blown away by their FA meeting two years ago and said nothing but good things about them since. Because Broussard said he wants to be a Laker? Lol. If Broussard knew anything Dwight would've stayed a Laker and Kawhi would be one right now. He's a hack

If he’s happy to be here, then hell yeah.

But don’t let it miss out on other players, and we still need a backup big.

I’m actively aware that I’m a “sky is falling” poster this offseason, but we have a shot, and Tillman needs to do something (I really don’t think iggy is it)

Seeing how awful Hartenstein and Clark look in summer league I'm more annoyed Morey hasn't signed a single new player so far. They have 7 guys and no one else. What the hell has he been doing?

He made the "blown away" comment once...during 2017 free agency...and he was apparently blowing smoke even then.
His primary objective was to drive up the Warriors offer so he feigned interest in Houston.
It worked.

He made snide comments about the Rockets during and after the 2018 playoffs, dismissing their legitimacy as a threat to the Warriors and then did the same again this year.
Of course you can dismiss that as heat-of-competition bravado but to me it seemed indicative of a lack of respect for the Rockets.
Also, Iuodala's shady exit from Denver doesn't paint him in the best light either.

This is not to say that if he were traded to the Rockets he wouldn't be professional and fulfill his contract, I just question how enthusiastic he would be about it.

BTW, no one with any sense gives credence to anything Chris Broussard says. His career is a running joke at this point.

Welp, my guy rhj is gone...

Justin holiday....PLEASE!

Also, don’t really want Tyson chandler, but if that’s the only backup big we can get then so be it

Yeah there's really not much else at this point. Would rather roll the dice on Cheick Diallo. He has poor man's Clint game

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I think at this point Morey is just content with running it back, which means outside of the signed House Jr, Green, Rivers, rest of the roster don't really matter much. That's a solid 8 man rotation already especially with Gordon going back to the bench, just fill out the rest of the guys as injury insurance.

That said, we still need size at the front court. Jabari, JaMychal, Sefolosha, Amir Johnson, Pondexter. Heck, I'd give a chance to guys like Brewer, Dragan Bender (7'1 forward with 78% conversion rate at the rim), Dekker a chance if they are willing to take minimum $.

It will be another gamble like last summer where we signed 5 nobodies and non of those worked out so we reshuffled them at the trade deadline for Rivers, Faried, and Shumpert.

I also do not see us have a slow start like last year because this time around we don't have to work someone like Melo and MCW into our rotation which proved to be a pain in the ass (and likely cost Harden another MVP). The above listed 8 man rotation is already a pretty solid group who played a lot of games together deep in the post season. We just need to build a cushion on our bench to cope with the potential injuries in a long grinding season.

After all, there are contending teams who hinge their title hope mostly on one player, like Bucks on Giannis, and us on Harden. As long as Harden stays healthy and continues to mature his game (which he has been for the past 7 years), we'll be good.

I would be okay with Tyson Chandler taking over Nene's role. Although not as bulky and strong as Nene, he would offer more size and rim protection in that backup spot.

Would still like to see them add some size at the 4 though, and probably some depth at the wing.

Question guys, why do some Rockets fans seem so antsy for the team to make a big splashy move?
Am I missing something?

Screw a big splashy move, just sign someone for our bench depth. Rhj went for the minimum on a one year. He would have helped
