Love Kemba wearing #8. Gotta believe he understands that was Toin's # and that there will be good amount of old school Walker #8 jersey's being pulled out of closets. Dude is making all the right moves to have Boston love him.

This is a max contract, no player option in the 4th year (ala Hayward/Horford)?

Curious, because of his size?

Maybe some day there will be a Celtic named Anthony Irving.

Size, defensive limitations and volume shooting style.

I dislike that style of PG. Prefer them as 6th men, a la Lou Williams.

Sleeper pick for MVP this season. I'm not a gambling man but its looking tempting to put $100 on Kemba winning MVP in Boston's system. That payout would be massive and its really not that unrealistic at all.

He would need to score 30PPG, play average or above defense, and carry us to the 1 seed to get into the conversation.

Even one of those three seem pretty unlikely, but all 3?

I am an optimist, but that would be a LEAP for a guy in his 9th year.

Thats exactly why the pay out would be huge. He averaged almost 26 on a team where the whole game plan is to stop him and faced double teams night in and night out. Its not unrealistic to assume he can average close to 30 on the celtics. And it's also not unrealistic to think Bostom can finish in the top 2 in the east. Again that's why the payout would be good.

On Dallas's pursuit/interest in Kemba:

"We were interested in Kemba. That was the one name associated with (us) we were interested (in),” Cuban said. “We didn’t expect Al Horford to opt out. Who knew that would happen? So when (Walker) decided to stay closer to home and go to Boston, well, we had to adjust.”
...
“When Kemba wasn’t really going to be available at the start of free agency, our first call literally was Delon Wright, because we wanted somebody that could defend next to Luka and most of our guys, particularly our ones (and) twos were walk-it-up guys,”

Man, if Dallas couldn't have predicted the possibility of Al Horford opting out, they aren't too bright. Are they going to be surprised when Gordon Hayward opts out next year?

538 pegs Kemba Walker as the best free agent signing this offseason in terms of net added value.

Surprised Rozier isn't at the bottom, but then again someone gave Harrison Barnes a contract because the Kings had to prove that the first half of last year was an utter fluke.
