I know you're not supposed to punch down, but I do like it when the guys who do it right dunk on the Twitter rando NBA "insiders".

Speaking of which, why does Broussard have a job reporting news? He's wrong about everything

Nope. That ship sailed a long time ago. He's never going to give much effort on the defensive end, doesn't have the greatest attitude, and would only be a distraction for a team that was pretty well-oiled last year.

You know Toronto and Masai will be trying for the next several seasons to poach Giannis, and we just tied two anchors around our necks in Middleton and Bledsoe for the foreseeable future.

can everyone please stop mentioning Bledsoe as a bad contract. He was the 2nd best guy on our team and he's making half of what Midds is going to make.

Bledsoe had a good reg season but no one cares about that anymore. His Toronto series was abysmal. He was a big reason we lost. His contract is fine but he wasnt the second best player on the team

Per 36 Bledsoe averaged 12.4/5.3/5.1 and Middleton averaged 13.4/6.7/4.1. Bledsoe obviously struggled shooting but his efg% was only like 6% worse and he managed a better net rating despite his poor shooting. Khris had one good game and it was in a 30 point blowout loss.

I'd like to see some type of Dragic/Waiters for Westbrook type thing.

I could see it but I honestly think Miami might be doing OKC a pretty big favor if that happens.

I'd take Michael Beasley back at the minimum before I'd take Jabari.

For the minimum I’d absolutely roll the dice on Jabari and let him play for a not-absolutely-clueless coach for once. I think with our spacing he could really thrive on offense

I’d roll the dice on Jabari for the minimum too. But do you realize how many coaches he’s played for? This could be a Jabari issue.

Jabari played pretty well for Washington. Of course you give him a minimum. Not sure why he'd have any interest in that.

It will be different having the band wagon fans on the Clippers for a change.

I bet Presti’s name is dirt for creating a fake trade threat with the Raptors. It’ll be interesting to see who’s willing to deal with him on Westbrook.

Didn’t Jabari run himself out of Chicago too? No thanks.

You think this is the first time a gm played two teams against each other?

Lob City Clippers had plenty of bandwagon fans. They just choked in the playoffs every year lol

Sounds like he outright lied about the Raptors having a shot at a deal. I think that’s the difference.

There's certainly a lot of misdirection, spin, feints and fibs all over the place. It's inevitable with this much on the line.

For example, Steven A. Smith intoned on the air a couple of days ago that he was 99% sure Kawhi would sign a short-term Raptors deal. Now, granted. SAS is not Edward R. Murrow and probably doesn't understand journalistic standards for sourcing a story. Nevertheless, either somebody played him or he was carrying the water for somebody to try to force somebody's desired outcome.

It's going to take a while before the NBA machinery figures out how to handle the new reality: players call the shots.
