Hey Ov,

trying to read itbobby007 saga but tread 8 is restricted. smh

james bond, retired raps mod, annoyed spouses, hotel spies, oj simpson helicopter chase, quite an epic story my friend.

Couldn't really follow the whole thing goph, as the total pg count for #KawhiWatch was like 1500 pgs. But the story was something like:

1. itbobby (retired raps mod)'s friends wife heard something raptor related was happening at the Hazelton (Toronto hotel)
2. Some ppl (maybe bobby too) investigated, found out it was the Masai/Kawhi FA meeting
3. itbobby posts some pics on realgm
4. Will Lou (local Raptor beat writer) catches wind of story and shouts out realgm on his twitter account
5. Raptors reddit sees Lou's tweet and starts to investigate; story blows up
6. CP24 (local Toronto news station) sees story and sends a phucking chopper to follow Kawhi's whereabouts
7. ppl start looking at live feeds of arrivals/departures of planes from/to San Diego, maybe owned by MLSE (raptors ownership group)
8. ppl on realgm start analyzing speed of planes and wind directions to see if planes are boarding passengers (speculation was Kawhi's family)

basically a ton of crazy useless chit goph

Being selected as part of the brain trust to analyze plane speed was a great honor OV. After comparing the flight data to my own I figured out Kawhi was signing with the Clippers, obviously couldn't share on raps board because of sensitivity, hope you understand.

Was just looking at the Clips backcourt. Beverly, George and Kawhi. That's up there with the greatest defensive trios I can recall. That's a huge advantage for them.

PG/SG = backcourt.
SF/PF/C = frontcourt.

Still a very valid point. Who is playing their 4/5?

Boston Celtics' Romeo Langford seen shooting with ping-pong paddle taped to hand

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/celtics-romeo-langford-ping-pong-paddle

Boston Celtics rookie Romeo Langford is working hard to get his shooting form back, months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb.

Langford, who the Celtics selected last month out of Indiana, was spotted Tuesday with a wrap on one hand and an object taped to his other hand. According to Mass Live, Langford wore the wrap on his right hand to support his thumb and the left hand had a wrap on it to support a ping-pong paddle on his palm.

Celtics Summer League coach Scott Morrison told reporters the paddle was for his shooting motion.

I look at KL and PG as wings and I consider those backcourt versus the more traditional definition.

I've not thought of traditional positions in my perspective for a while now. I view players as point, combo, wing, stretch big and post big.

I know they have Kabengele and Montrezl. A Euro big maybe as well?

You've goto feel sorry fr the Raps.

Team did everything right, they won the bloody championship - and still couldn't keep their own free agent. You can't like their chances to get any free agents stars any time soon.

Poor souls will talk about their only championship 70 years from now. "the day we got a star who left as soon as he possibly could".

This can't be a good sign for a scoring win. Hate the Celtics but hopefully that hand isn't too **** up.

You know what is the most difficult for the Canadians, for once they managed to catch a superstar, even if they managed to win a championship, the guy left with no hesitation. They got Kawhi by taking a huge risk but there is no way a superstar will go to Toronto and i think that's the most problematic for them. The guy beat all the record : remember the comparaison between his shot and the one of Vince Carter; one went in to bring them to the Eastern Finals when the other one got them eliminated.

Please goodboy Vince Carter and T-Mac were drafted by the Raps and they left for bigger markets

SO CHALM DOWN

Have to disagree with you Rex and Makoko. This whole thing either doesn't change our FA situation at all or helps a tiny bit. It shows that the team will do whatever it has to do keep the player happy and healthy.

Kawhi was an isolated case who decided he was going back to LA before the season even started. Nothing was going to change that. He would've done the same thing to 27 other teams not located in LA

I would say it’s the taxes, but California has a state income tax at like 13.3% plus federal taxes.

I would say it’s the weather, but Milwaukee, Minnesota, Detroit, and Chicago get pretty cold and they retain their players.

I would say Canadians are bad people, but we all know it’s just goodboy and his multi accounts making the nation look bad (i.e. false banners)

Only one guy calls me that way, burner account spotted

Sorry but I have to

I still stand correct about what I said.
Give me the name of a big superstar signing for the Raps apart from Kawhi? None and this is the problem. There was no plan B for this summer, the name of Toronto was not named in any big free agent. He was making Toronto a legitimate destination.
Just put Kawhi aside because it was a unique opportunity. Who is going to sign there ? It's not a jab or whatever, just the sad reality. I don't know if people are going to understand what i meant

So yes the taxes, the weather, the exposure,...

Pretty much. He loved everything about Toronto, had the most expressive season in all his seasons combined in Spurs

But at the end of the day, his heart was always in LA. Just glad he didn't go to the Lakers. But La nonetheless.

Reminds of how we were tooth and nail on singing bron back in 2014 when his heart was always going back home to win a chip.
