We're already seeing them come up with creative solutions to bolster the roster - from getting Harkless and a draft pick for free, to taking advantage of Zubac and McGruder's low cap holds. These are things that GM Doc never thought of.

To be fair, not many GMs think like this. That’s why Jerry West is the best ever and why so many teams tried to go after our front office this year. GM Doc was the absolute worst, but our front office just locked up the executive of the year award.

Thing is, Kawhi first approached KD about signing with the Clippers.

So not only did KD choose Kyrie over Curry, all-drama vs. low drama, he chose Kyrie over Kawhi.

I guess he plans to have a big off-court business in NY so he was going to one of the NY teams.

If KD agreed to sign with the Clippers, they've had had to clear more cap space because his max salary cap number is higher than PG13's.

But the Clippers would have kept all those assets!

It never came down to a choice but interesting how it all unrolled.
