You're trying to win a championship not throw away a roster spot. We're not in a good place to begin with if we think giving a deal to a guy that's just not an NBA player is somehow going to help. Reeks of desperation.

You're absolutey right, we are desperate for Giannis to resign. Kawhi just forced the Clippers to mortgage their future in order to come there, it's a new league. Thanasis can be the 15th man, motivate Giannis, play some D, and hit on some alley-oops in garbage time when he's even active. All things considered, I'll take Thanasis over the Tim Fraziers of the world.

I like whatever it takes to get Giannis to sign a five year extension and keep him happy. If the signing helps that then it was obviously worth it.

Not a huge fan of the Thanasis signing as the optics looks off, but I'm not going to worry about it just yet. However, I will start worrying about it, if Giannis asks for his brother get more playing time. That could cause problems. The 15th man won't make or break your team, but if they start trying to leverage more playing time for Thanasis, that could get ugly. But I don't foresee that happening.

The Mavs thought they were sly when they signed Kostas but I think we got the most important of his brothers on the team now in terms of what would keep him here. I wonder if they have the sort of relationship where we will see he and Thanasis screaming in each other's faces on the sideline before giving each other a big hug and then Giannis just goes in and destroys.

I will say, that despite my reservations about the nepotism and potential for mixed feelings on Giannis’s part if the Bucks and Thanasis part ways, one thing I won’t worry about is Thanasis’s character. From all accounts, he is the brother that truly fell in love with the game & encouraged his brothers to play. He may just be the ultimate rah rah teammate.
