Yep. No way we get herro, Winslow and a first.

Meh i dont know. I like him but he isn’t Zion. I think he needs to be the focal point of the trade. I dont know what the deal might look like but I’m not opposed to including Ferguson or Diallo if we need to.

Just think it's going to be difficult to get 3 ''assets'' in return. But yeah if we add Ferguson to this deal it's a different story.

I don’t imagine we get picks if we get herro. Maybe herro + 1 asset is best case scenario, in my opinion.

Herro hasn't been signed yet

I think you can get Herro but maybe no 1st

This works

to OKC, Herro, Winslow, Waiters, Johnson, Duncan Robinson (n-g)
to Dallas, Dragic, Maten
to Miami, Westbrook, Gallinari

Maybe you can get a 2nd round pick there, or whatever

Miami needs to do this in a trade to be able to put a team together under the hardcap, any trade with them has to include them getting lower in salary

I think if Russ wants to go to the Heat I'd be fine doing that

Heat basically get Westbrook-Butler-Gallinari-Olynyk-Adebayo/Leonard and the rest of the roster filled with minimum contract guys

Heat / Mavs deal for Westbrook is fairly easy to imagine. Other potential deals can also involve 3rd team, even 4th or 5th.

Very calm, cool, collected with a live dribble... plays with a high iq while finding his shot in the midrange or all the way to the rim... a highly effective scorer in the midrange / post while also having a three ball at his disposal.

he's also got great length on the defensive end and stays active there

he had some nice post-season experience as a rookie and made some big time plays both scoring the ball in crucial moments and setting up teammates

I'm not saying he's going to be a top 5 player in the league (see: kawhi reference), but the kid has "it" and will be an all-star player in the near future if his progression continues as a player

Not sure if I see an all star there or not but I like the pace he plays with and the defensive potential.

Lowe thinks he's going to be a multiple all star. I haven't watched enough of him to know.

Thunder should think about whether they want to try to compete in 2-3 years or 4-6 years. If 2-3, could keep some of current bigger contracts. If 4-6, more likely to trade them.

his CARMELO projection is already 'future all-star'. there are good signs.

ORL offers...Aaron Gordon, DJ Augustine (contributor/SGA mentor/expiring),Frazier, and a first

or...Bamba, DJ, Fournier (expiring, floor spacer), and a first

Picks and cap are nice, but you've got to get some young talent too, IMO. I really hope Miami doesn't pull this off with their remnants and this year's draft reach.

Not even Morey is able to send CP3 to a 3rd team without assets.

Morey gets a lot of love for analytics but at some level he's just all about surrounding Harden with other big names.

Houston’s future picks will be pretty valuable at some point but we need at least one solid prospect now. Even if we got a boat load of picks and dumped salary I don’t think Sam wants to wait years to see the return and have a long rebuild. Even just getting one decent guy like Herro is a huge plus over what Houston could offer.

If we do a trade with Miami, I'd like to see the protection of the Miami 2023-Firstrounder we own changed to a reverse protection. This would guarantee that we would get a good pick out of this and not a mediocre in the 20s of one draft.

So much noise from Miami but maybe Presti is talking to Rob Pelinka right now.

Or he's getting some rest thinking about who he's gonna draft in 2026

Analytics are a lot more important to guys who aren't Star players. You don't care if kawhi takes a bunch of mid range jumpers, because he's going to make them.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I could see Detroit making a deal because their in Nba purgatory anyway and Griffin and Westbrook’s contracts end at the same time.

They don’t have great assets in young players but if they give an unprotected pick down the line in about 4 years or so when Griffin and Russ will be close to shot they could be very valuable

Detroit would love him. They'd fill that arena up tbh

You have the weirdest collection of sports following I have ever seen. New Jersey, New York, Philly, OKC, and Notre Dame?

I do. I became an Eagles fan because growing up, my uncle had season tickets to the Birds so I would go to a game every year.

I became an Thunder fan, when they moved to OKC. I was a disgruntled Knicks fan that could not get on board with their decision making.

Yankees and Devils are the closest teams to where I lived.

The Fighting Irish is the Irish Catholic in me. If you ever get a chance get to South Bend for a Notre Dane game, you should totally do it. The history there is just something else, a game day weekend is just filled with things to see and do.

I was in Norman in 2012 to see Notre Dame beat OU. ... and then I got to see the return in (2014 I think?) in South Bend. Lot of fun! Girls were super cute too.

Please find a way to get him to Houston. Let's get Russ and harden both a championship

I was reading on the clips board and apparently he’s a pretty big gym rat.
