My random take on Thanasis is that since Thon left Gianiss hasn't had anyone that would train with him pedal to the metal. Thanasis has come to fill that role he's a sparring partner.

His brother didn't look awful...he had a nice stroke in that video a few pages back, hustled and seemed to have decent awareness...I don't know though, never really followed anything about him.

So as of right now we’re looking at

Bledsoe/Hill/Donte
Matthews/Connaughton/Brown
Middleton/Thanasis
Giannis/Ilyasova/Wilson
Brook/Robin/Leuer

2-way: Bonzi Colson

One roster spot, one 2-way open. Two if/when Leuer is stretched. Biggest takeaway from that depth chart is we really need Donte to be a consistent contributor/shot maker at the two.

Yeah, that depth chart wasn’t meant to be indicative of playing time. The backup wing minutes are interchangeable with the exception of Thanasis.

The late great Jack Haley commanded 15th roster spots for the sole purpose of babysitting Dennis Rodman. I just can't act like this is some huge deal especially with the end goal in mind.

All of you that don’t want Russell Westbrook are insane. The guy averages a triple double for the entire season. Think about that before you answer. What he would bring alone in tenacity, assists, and rebounds would be worth it. He can take over games, hit clutch shots, and get his team pumped up. Don’t ever compare this man in any way to Bledsoe. He is multiple levels above him. The guy is a top 15 player in the entire NBA and people would still bitch it we got him. Don’t tell me he wouldn’t play well next to Giannis. Giannis needs somebody to get him jacked and start taking games over. We would be the favorites to win the ship if we got him. Right now we have no shot against either of the LA teams. Sorry we need that 2nd star. I’m confident if we got him or really any other top 15 player we would win it all.

Yes, on the one hand, we had Thon for the past three years filling the "guy we think can improve a lot since he's young (but is actually quite older than one would think and is pretty much a scrub)" role on the bench*. Can Thanasis do that while making Mama Antetokounmpo happy that three of her five children are millionaires? Sure. Are we a team that is going to struggle to improve outside of the improvements of our players? I'd say so, and if that's the case, I believe the team should be doing everything they can to find players with every roster spot who can possibly affect the team's success. I'm not sure that Thanasis is that guy. But hey, when the Bucks need to make salaries match to dump one of their bloated contracts, the Bucks can also be the team that "traded Giannis' brother to dump salary to try and improve the team to get Giannis to stay."

*I'm entirely convinced that Thanasis is probably the same age, if not younger, than Thon.
