Now, maybe, just maybe, they are trying to work out a sign and trade, but if that was the case Oubre's agent would be calling all the front offices looking for suitors and Woj would be tweeting about it.

The only real explanation is that Oubre assumes it cannot hurt to wait and see if he can get a better deal.

Ya they can't just let him walk he's too valuable for us to just forget about. There's not too many teams with money left tho so not sure what/who KO is waiting for.

If Oubre gets the Kleber contact that is 35/3.

If he takes the QO - he gets 4.6
so for his next contract - would have to get a 15m per year deal. Possible I guess to beat the 3/35 range type contract
seems the smart play is if the Suns are offering in the 3-36-40 range - to take that deal. maybe not go 4 years but 3 years and really hit again the next contract.

The more I think about it, the more I think that Oubre gets "just" $10M per year.

Look, Marcus Morris (hate for the past away) is an slightly better overall player and he just got $20M / 2 years.

It looks fair value for Oubre to get $40M / 4 years because he is younger than Morris. But more than that probably is an overpaid.

We will see.

NOW I know why so many have been bitching about the FO moves. Wilber IS Jeff Bower...or maybe James Jones rather, given the "Doncic sucks!" and Ayton rhetoric from last year.

Suns finish 12th this year . Mark it down.

I’m still not the biggest fan of doncic , I live in Dallas . Let’s see how he does year 2 .

Me either. Live in Denton.

That’s a really good comp. Morris Aminu and Kleber are all in that 10-12 range and better players. Oubre is going to have a really hard time getting more than that. My 40/3 is probably too high. I would rather pay JaMy Green 9/1 than Overpay Oubre

Ya if you're gonna roll the Westbrook dice then you need to have a somewhat older team that's ready to make their move now. Someone who already has one star but needs another. I think Orlando would be perfect with their strong front court and weak back court. Bamba, a 1st and filler would work. MIN works too and Miami sorta works but w/ OKC owning Miami's picks I wouldnt be too motivated to make them better if I was OKC.

Orlando isn't there either. They are basically the at the same stage as us. A lot of talk about Miami being a place for him and I have to agree. I think he'll probably clash with Jimmy but that's a team that basically never tanks and Riley has shown he's not afraid to move anyone to build a contender.

.......Wolves would make some sense too since I think KAT is further along in become a legit star compared to Booker but I don't think they are that far in front of us either.

Did KAT drop 150+ total pts in 3 successive games ??? Did anyone ? I dont know what it takes to place Booker in the top tier, but he does that for any other team and this board goes crazy with the accolades.... but, with us, and with losing, he gets the empty stat label. I dont know what the prop bets will be come end of the summer.... but a sneaky good one will be Booker winning the scoring title. The dude is a legit offensive GD juggernaut, and the rest will come. I think Book is coming out with a take no f-n prisoner attitude. This will be by far, the best team he's played on.

It helps to make an all-NBA team, 2x all-star and be a legit impactful player. Scoring 150+ pts in a 3 game stretch just doesn't mean that much. Is it meaningless? No but it just doesn't hold a bunch of weight when we lost all 3 games, one being a blow out by 33pts (where he dropped 59) and two of them were close losses against non-playoff teams

I want Booker to be great and become a legit star as much as any Suns fan but objectively, he just isn't right now. He's a hella scorer who has won some games with his scoring heroics but over his career, winning just hasn't been part of the narrative and I just don't think you can be a legit star when your team has been won less than 24 games a season over his career. I'm not putting it all on Booker because he has been our best player throughout the past few seasons but while it's disingenuous to put it all on him, it would be equally disingenuous to say he played no part either.

With Frank and Dario - need more of a defensive 4

Not sure if that’s Spalding or not

If we're looking for more of a defensive 4. Bender isn't the guy I would look at

Aaron Gordon would be a player I would consider.

Not a huge AG fan. Always felt he left a lot to be desired but I suppose he's still young (doesn't turn 24 until training camp) and he's on a reasonable contract with yearly declines.

If this does happen, THIS is why we had to move that Miami pick while it had value. They weren't just going to poop the bed and give us a top 5 pick.

Even if they don't, Butler is going to help keep them competitive. If they get RW, in the East, they will be a fringe playoff team, or they'll make the playoffs.

At this stage, I'll take the known commodity in Bridges.
