Look man, in this social media age, when that's the picture the team's official account chooses to release for the biggest signing in the organization's history...

Must be some miracle making him stand up

still mind-boggling. not even upsetting, but confusing. KD's agent and dad are Knicks fans, one of his best friends, Royal Ivey, is an asst. coach, it's NY's #1, beloved team, a chance to have his own team....now it just looks like he followed Kyrie

I get that Brooklyn just made the playoffs, but a 1-2 years ago they were where the Knicks are right now. short sighted decision IMO because the arrow is pointing up for the Knicks (despite what the media may say)....and there's nothing better than when the Knicks are good

IMO this years team needs to show a big improvement in the win column; they certainly have the talent to be competitive. I mean last year's Nets team was able to make the playoffs in a weak East, and this years Knicks arguably are more talented.

coaching plays a part, which is why I think this is a make or break year for Fiz, tho I doubt no matter how poorly they do that the Knicks would fire him after just 2 seasons; they seem to love Fiz. He needs to prove he can get the most out of young talent, similar to Kenny Atkinson

Jeannie Buss.

Phil Jackson would have been the correct answer

Both wrong. Kurt Rambis is running things now and who knows what that yellow fever freak is ever thinking.

Difference is, they were the Knicks 1-2 years ago but they always made the effort to be competitive. Knicks (and it's fans) are content with being bad. The organization continues to play stupid mind games stringer players along on the road to awful and players don't want to, nor should they have to tolerate it. I'm glad KP is gone but HE couldn't tolerate it and he was our draft pick on his first contract. That says something and if we're not careful, KP/KD won't be the only dudes looking to stay a country mile from the Knicks, but Barrett and Mitch may be next. This franchise has some serious growing up to do.

I was a big proponent of trading KP when his value was sky high (back before the 2017 draft when the rumors started and Boston apparently had a monster offer)...but was disappointed to see them trade KP in the way they did/for what they did. I'm a big DSJ fan, but KP could be a generational talent.

I am curious tho, how much of KP's issues were from the Phil Jackson regime and if those issues lingered...or did Perry, Fiz and the new regime have a bad relationship with KP too. by all accounts the new young players are creating a good culture of wanting to come to work, so I'd like to know what really happened with KP

That the athletic article about KD was pretty spot on. He craves male bonding and is a beta. Perhaps a lack of a male father figure?

He can bond with Royal more often now that they are situated in the same state. Just different teams
