The deal would not be able to to
completed until September due to Bledsoe’s recent contract.

They are trying to trade for Russell Westbrook. The two teams have already began exploratory discussions.

I thought I read somewhere this literally can't happen until after the start of the season, money wise specifically. Same with the Knicks
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

If we trade for Westbrook I will personally go into Horst's office and smash his EOY award
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

While I don't think I'd be looking to trade for Westbrook, one thing to mention in it is that sure he's a poor shooter but he'd be replacing Bledsoe where that is also his weakness. So, same weakness is still there but Westbrook is much better in all other areas of offense. Of course it hurts D though.

I just don't see the price tag being worth it, the Bled/Ers/Leuer thing gets close in salaries and if just that well I could be talked into it. But I'm sure you'll need to tack on multiple firsts, maybe other young guys like DDV/Brown/DJ too. Probably just too much

ReddRum wrote:All of you that don’t want Russell Westbrook are insane. The guy averages a triple double for the entire season. Think about that before you answer. What he would bring alone in tenacity, assists, and rebounds would be worth it. He can take over games, hit clutch shots, and get his team pumped up. Don’t ever compare this man in any way to Bledsoe. He is multiple levels above him. The guy is a top 15 player in the entire NBA and people would still bitch it we got him. Don’t tell me he wouldn’t play well next to Giannis. Giannis needs somebody to get him jacked and start taking games over. We would be the favorites to win the ship if we got him. Right now we have no shot against either of the LA teams. Sorry we need that 2nd star. I’m confident if we got him or really any other top 15 player we would win it all.

Thought about it. Still a very easy no.

LOL. I don't think its the best fit neither but its worth the risk in my opinion. Any time an all star is available we need to be making that call. Nobody knows if he will fit well with Giannis until it actually happens. Giannis likes competitors and wants to win and so does Russ. I think they could make it work.

Westbrook is a significantly worse shooter who takes significantly worse shots. One is an abysmal shooter who shoots too much and the other one is a bad/below average shooter who plays within the game.

You guys are really trying to talk yourselves into Westbrook. Look at Westbrook’s playoff stats. If you hate Bledsoe I have a hard time imagining what type of venom you will spit at Westbrook come playoff time

Really couldn't come up with a worse player to pair with Giannis than Russ.

I can. Bledsoe. All of you that are so worried about his salary, that ship sailed when we basically maxed Middleton. Sit back and enjoy the luxury tax ride now, its time to win a championship. Remember its Milwaukee so we will take who we can get when it comes to star players. I'm assuming Horst has done his homework and if Westbrook is the best we can get lets go for it. Better than standing pat and getting swept by the Clippers.

We need the 6’3 version of Durant not the 6’3 version of Giannis

Lmao I swear some of you don’t even bother looking at statistics let alone watching games. Westbrook is atrocious

The fact that nobody wants to play with Russ is more telling than anything else.

Just whispers at this point but yes I have heard they are in "exploratory talks" How in depth these talks have got I have no idea. They are interested, just don't know if we have enough. It would be Ersan, Leuer, Donte, two first round picks and a 2nd as a starting point...

Come on man. He takes lots of shots b/c the rest of his team minus Paul George sucks. Shooting isn't his forte and again I can think of better fits too but If he had Bud as a coach he would average over 12 assists per game and we would have a distributor that is twice as good as Bledsoe and twice as good at rebounds.

It seems insanely unlikely, but I swear I will lose my **** if we trade for Westbrook. He might be my least favorite player to watch in the NBA.
