Saves them $million this year.
Puts is $1.8million into tax
Keeps our shooters but we lose our 18yr old

Id do it, but OKC would want a bit more, imo.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Is it possible the Snell trade is not official yet? Kevin Porter JR. is out all of summer league with a hip flexor

No because Bone is officially a Piston.

Giving up Kennard and a first voids this entire team of shooting. That isn't a very good team.

It has to be for just expirings, and maybe a protected 1st in order for us to not have this turn into a Billy King Nets situation.

Russ' contract doesn't have positive value, so no reason to start the bid high with our future.

Detroit trades Snell + 2nd round pick to Atlanta.

Then we trade our expirings + a protected first for Westbrook

Whether or not we end up trading for him I just want it to happen already, it's exhausting refreshing Twitter 24/7.

Please for the love of god dont trade Kennard/Sekou/draft picks. Just getting OKC out of that albatross should be more than enough.

Yep. It has to be seen that way. Where we're doing them a huge favor of getting out of his enormous contract way earlier with our expirings. Maybe toss in a few 2nds or a protected 1st if the Knicks, HOU, and Miami ramp up their bids.

If Presti opens up with wanting one of Kennard or Sekou, you hang up. We can afford to take our time and let them get desperate instead of bidding against ourselves.

The Grant trade does strongly suggest they are moving Russ, but I was already 95% sure on that after the PG trade.

Still no indication it’s us.

I'm pretty sure Sekou can't be traded until 30 days after he signed his contract.

who does? I follow him and Beard, they never have first hand news.

I can't stand pistonpowered boys, so I defollowed the most of them and they don't have sources.

Is there on twitter some good Pistons account to follow?

Honestly think the following is fair:

Dre, RJ, Galloway, Snell & 2020 first for Westbrook and Adams.

They clear another $25 mil off their books next summer, gain yet another future first & have Drummond to appease the fan base somewhat for a year PLUS they could always retain him at max money while adding all the kids on rookie deals.

This stuff won't matter. They will just agree to the trade and complete it in a month.

Nobody local. I would just follow Woj, Shams, Amick. Keith Langlois is a wild card guy to follow since he’s essentially PR.

Up to and including the 2024 Draft OKC has a extra first round pick every year (assuming they keep their own)

Plenty of rookie deals to surround Drummond over his next max
