If we had a healthy Durant, sure. Without him, don't think we improved enough from last year to contend with Philly and Milwaukee yet.

I'm on record as saying that Kyrie is overrated. He's better than D'Lo, but not by as much as people think. So I'm not expecting some crazy improvement this year.

I disagree, Kyrie efficiency is way better than DLo.. a 48/40/89 split is top tier efficiency. And also take into account that Levert is getting better and is in a contract year, another year for Dinwiddie,Allen, Harris, Prince etc.. to get better and the east is also weaker... I'll say we win around 48 games without KD. Don't think we win as much as Philly and Bucks but in a 7 game matchup we can put up a fight and find some weaknesses in those teams.

If we compare the stats, Kyrie is way better than D Lo. So I'm not sure where some people are getting the idea that its not the case. Kyrie is what D Lo should hope to become, but may never become as good.

Kyrie can shoot as well as Russell (if not more consistent) and can drive and finish creatively as Dinwiddie.

He's a combo of the specialty that each of those guys brought offensively.

I'm not sure how anyone can say he's not an upgrade from a talent stand point only

Irving's efficiency and driving ability in an offense that maximizes floor spacing is a way better fit. To deny this is asinine. I'm more worried about Kyrie's attitude and relationship with the coach and team, and his health more than his fit on the floor. He will post elite numbers in this offense, and will challenge for an all NBA 1st team spot.

Although I will miss Russell, it is nice not having to read trades for Julius Randle and Jabari Parker on here every other day.

Silver linings. Now where are the KD and Kyrie stans?

Wouldn't have minded Julius Randle, but the thought of Jabari here is vomit inducing. One thing I'm really glad about is that we didn't have to overpay Tobias Harris.

I forgot all about Harris. I guess when Kevin Durant signs with your team it tends to make all of that other stuff seem insignificant

Protected 1-20, then become 2025 second rounder.

Trey Lyles is now UFA, there's a chance to take a flyer with him for the minimum?

Wish it was only lotto protected, I don't see GS being a top 10 team next year.

I'll definitely take a flyer on Lyles, he's a 4 that can shoot.

Do we still have a spot left for Lyles? I'm sure we just filled the last spot with Pinson.

im not sure why we would want him. poor fit and awful player. do we really need a big who doesnt rebound, doesnt defend, turns it over a bunch, cant shoot but isnt shy to let the bricks fly and does nothing at the rim?

For the min? Why not, certainly has a chance to be more productive than Hands for example.

That last spot needs to go to a vet. C'mon Kyle Korver(or Gallinari).

I know we dumped on him a bit, but this offense opened up completely when Crabbe and Harris got going.

In the chance that Joe goes down (everyone knock on wood like crazy now), we don't have another guy who can really burn defenses at the wing (aside from Kyrie, which would have been Russell last season).

I would like that insurance here.

Seems like you guys likely will bring Aaron White in, he is a PF/C who plays with a ton of intensity, can both pop and roll, really good at lobs, mixed on defense, def aggressive and blocks shots, stays engaged, but moves a bit weird
