It's happening! I'd be happy with Herro and/or Bam, both would be incredible.

Yep. We have SGA and Diallo who were also teammates.
I now believe we get him. Sam loves him some Kentucky players.

Will we end up with more players for UK or with Rich Paul as their agent?

Is Patterson a Rich Paul guy? He might put UK over the top.

Building around a backcourt of SGA and Herro would be exciting. Completely different brand of basketball than what thw Thunder has dished up the past 10 years. Efficient point guard who takes his time and makes the right play and a shooting guard who can hit 3's at a high clip.

Herro makes the deal for me. Going to be upset if he isn't included in a Miami deal

We won't get both. My guess is Herro and a pick. Would be pretty good already.

i do not think we get either bam or herro from miami. hope i'm wrong. i'm seeing dragic + johnson. maybe a pick going to miami. miami would be in control here since we basically have to trade westbrook now and they know it.

best case would be winslow imo.

How do you feel about Waiters?

I don't dislike him and he seems like a good guy but I don't think I would want him around a young team as their 'leader' (although he could be a great tank commander).

I think Presti could be using Miami and Detroit to leverage one another ...

Maybe Westbrook's camp know Orlando is offering a lot more so they are trying their best to pressure Presti to send him to Miami.
Still think we end up with Herro but that's it.

SGA and Herro would be pretty nice to start a rebuild

westbrook + patterson for dragic + winslow + waiters is cap neutral. i wouldn't mind taking waiters if it meant getting winslow in the deal. winslow might be better than either herro or bam (he is currently). sneaky good player.

We don't have to do anything. Presti will land a young guy or two.

He's dealing with Westbrook. It's totally different. Many fans won't forgive him if he uses Miami to get more from Detroit and send him there.

i don't know. i could be wrong. westbrook will have some say where he goes as well, unfortunately. the nature of trading star players. it might be possible there's some bidding war going on for westbrook but i don't think that's likely given his contract.

Winslow is a better player but we are going to start a long rebuild so I prefer having a guy like Herro. We are certainly not getting both so...

did you read the article? of course they have to trade him. sam presti isn't dell demps. he's not going to sit on his hands when a player doesn't want to be here anymore. and sam presti engineered these conditions in the first place. why do you think there was a shams tweet re: the thunder taking calls on westbrook a mere hour after sam presti traded jerami grant in a cap dump? he wants westbrook gone so he can rebuild and he's done what he has to do to make that appealing to westbrook as well.

i think sam presti knows he's not going to get a haul for westbrook and that's why it was done this way.

I would get over it very quickly.

There are some other things that comes with Westbrook : ratings, selling etc. That's pretty much why it's pretty normal that a team that doesn't attract stars like Orlando is offering more than Miami. But Miami is in a tough position with many bad contracts and they are trying to build a team (with Jimmy Butler) to win in the years to come so I guess they could still give us enough for him.
