He has the size to play either. He's probably someone Presti would like Culver as he projects to be a good defender, loves mid-range jumpers and didn't show much as a 3pt shooter, 30%, in college.

Wolves also thought they could quickly move money to get in on DLo, so now I'm more interested in who is taking all their bad money that they are so confident in.

Would rather send Russ to Miami though since he seems fine going there & sending him to Minny wouldn't do anything for him. Send him to the East so he can at least get into the playoffs & have a shot at doing something. Moving him to another bad West team that won't have a shot just seems screwed up to do to him.

Couldn’t it just be the fact that Miami or other trade partner doesn’t have cap space or a way to save okc money?

the only reason there's urgency to save tax imo is if we need the cushion for a westbrook trade to be viable financially.

This is some mental gymnastics.

Coincidentally, Minnesota announced today that Culver wouldn't participate in their summer league team.

This does not surprise anyone that has been paying attention to Thunder basketball through Russ' career. I do wish he would have waited a week for Russ to be traded before he started spewing the truth out there. However, the teams chasing Russ are so desperate that it probably doesn't change anything. Hopefully, Russ will be on the Heat in 24 hours to boost the value of our 2021 draft pick from them, it could probably get the protections removed on the 2023 pick and get us an unprotected 2025 pick...might even get pick swaps in 2022 and 2024. LAC pick swaps are 2023 and 2025.

Super glad that the team has blown it up. It really fits your loser mentality.

But of course we'll be back here the night of the 2020 NBA draft and you'll still be unhappy with literally everything I'm sure. You should be more like Drake, just stan front runners your whole sports fan career.

I don’t know much about the basketball player culver, but I know her grew up in Lubbock and also went to Texas tech. I could be completely wrong but he seems like the kind of guy that could be a good cultural fit in okc and content to stay here if he pans out as a player.

The fact they shelved him for summer league made no sense ... Until I considered they might be offering him to us.

Hami and Luguentz Dort looked really good today in summer league. I wanna see young guys getting heavy minutes at every position this season. Don't wanna see Gallinari or some expiring we take on getting any minutes. We have too many young guys that need to see the court.

Gallinari and some expiring need to get minutes at least 20-25 every night so we can sell them high

If we got Culver AND Okogie the mayor has to switch Russell Westbrook day to Sam Presti day.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Both are going to be mediocre players, Okogie out of the league in 4 or 5 years

Riley doesn't value picks and is desperate for a big name to pair with Butler. Riley is primed to overpay since they have a lot of cap clearing next off-season and he'll think he can lure another superstar to go with Russ and Butler. Of course, when Russ and Butler clash and Miami ends up picking in the top 10 it will crush Riley's hopes and dreams and it will only get worse from there.

Riley retires after a failed season and the new front office has no assets to dump Russ' corpse so all those Miami picks become gold.

i think you may be having a manic episode. i hope you're right but i view this scenario almost 180 degrees opposite.

"manic episode" is a little far.
