Jimmy’s might be salty as hell he’ll no longer be the star of his own team.

Thanks for the tip. Here's the thing: Bud agrees with me. Thats why Bledsoe got yanked for George Hill later in the Toronto series. Why? He was a burden on the court. His presence enabled Toronto to double team at will. Why cover him?
By the way... And this is really a strong point im about to make so perk those ears: They werent leaving Khris wide open. So i dont know if you can look this up on a game by game basis but remember that Bledsoe's three point shooting stats were accomplished on mostly wide open shots while Khris was being swarmed. Did your advanced stats account for that? Or did your eye test malfunction?

Where did you see this? All I saw was that Russ mentioned Miami as a place he'd like to go play. 3 days ago Ira was tweeting that Spo and Riles both want Dragic gone so Justice Winslow can be the PG of the future. 3 days later they wanna pay a 31yr old 40m to take Winslows position? Seems irrational and anti Spo/Riley.ReasonablySober wrote:Sounds like Westbrook to Miami is probably gonna happen. Would be a terrible move for Riles.

Happy for Jabari. He's not a bad kid, just delusional. Maybe he turned a bit of a corner after getting dropped from another team. Couldn't just rationalize it was the Bucks' unfairness toward him. He was a better team player in Washington, albeit still very flawed. His first stint w/ a team where he had a positive on or on/off +/-. He was on the verge of ending up in China. Maybe he can back door a career as a good bench player. A lot of money in that these days. I'm sure he'll try to be more for a while.

Lol and he was saying Bled was 2nd best regular season player and your bringing up the Raptors series where EVERYONE sucked other than Hill. Go back to the All Star break threads, most of us thought that 2nd spot should have been the Aqua Daggers and not Mids...

Feel like Jimmy would get super upset at playing with Russ 3 games into the season. Also, idk how Miami can work that. It took them 2 days just to finalize an already done deal to get Jimmy and this is likely more complicated.

I agree, Miami seems way too complex. Orlando would be much easier logistically. But Russell isn't interested in going to the Magic. OKC wants to build it's player rep & help him out while getting return. See PG to LAC.

Westbrook doesn't nearly have that value.

Correct. The Thunder are just trying to get out of that contract. I just can't fathom that there is a team that values Russ so much that they would be willing to both take on that contract AND give up assets. I think the Thunder should be looking for expiring contracts in return, with one or two of them being guys that they can then flip to contenders for picks.

i'm well aware of how well Bledsoe played during the season and I expect he will come out strong again and be a very good regular season player for us.. and that has value, but in the end that's not what matters. He wasn't just bad against Toronto, he became unplayable. As I said before, him being on the court made it tougher on guys like Khris and Giannis who now had to deal with double teams as they left Bledsoe wide open.
This whole thing started with the statement that Bledsoe was the 2nd best player on the team.. and maybe that's a dumb thing to argue about because of how fluid things are, but your 2nd best player on the team doesn't get played off the court in the ECF.

Newsflash. There’s very little difference between Middleton, Brogdon, and Bledsoe.

Lakers aren't that scary, in my opinion. Banking a lot on Boogie and AD being healthy (and Boogie not being a dumbass).

Never understood how this board judges a player:
Larry Sanders: Abused animals, abused members of the general public, abused team mates, violated league rules to the point of missing dozens of games (I think pot should be legal but its in his contract not to smoke...so don't), quit on the team.....
First 2 months after quitting: Hope he comes back!!!
Jabari Parker: Delusional on the defensive end/overall ability, loves Milwaukee and did a lot of community service.
This guy would destroy team chemistry, wouldn't want him back on the minimum!!!

Fans will generally root for the players who help their team win. Sanders at one point was a really dominant force to that end. Parker never came close to that kind of impact.
