Lol Zion is being held out because it’s pointless for him to play. Dude is ROY candidate vs Bamba barely play 15 minutes without being gassed.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

They would’ve been fooled by 1 Ceiling year where we had 3 guys play at Career level. Hope of Internal improvement that failed built around a fundamentally flawed offense and poor roster construction.

But that doesn't answer his question.

Why would that be funny to you?

Because if that happens it would mean the Magic are not having success and that's not something that we as fans should be laughing about, right?

Funny because it’s just the thing that would happen to the Magic. Double down on 1 year success, Cap yourself for the next 3 years and miss out of playoffs.

I want to believe Isaac, Bamba, and Fultz will grow significantly enough to push Orlando over the edge and make these vet signings worth it in the long run. Extremely skeptical that this current roster will overachieve, while coming off a 100% healthy season, unless another move is made.

I'm cautiously optimistic because I remember Charlotte's fans were penciling themselves into a 4th or 5th seed after they made the playoffs. Then they didn't make the playoffs.

Eventually there was a lot of internal development, we just werent patient enough.

I’d say 70% of that internal development revolves around whether Fultz can be healthy. If Fultz isn’t heathy we don’t have Cap to sign a guard come FA and BIG sill have to be broken up to get a guard.

I don't know if I'd say 70%, but definitely a huge chunk of our future. The optimist in me is desperate to believe he'll be healthy for the regular season and looks like the stud we expected him to be coming out of the draft, or even 80% if that player. I can't think of any reason why the FO wouldn't make a move for another PG or even a combo guard through the draft or FA.

It's honestly pointless for any of these guys to play in these games. Especially this year, I'm not sure I see the utility. Very few 2nd year players are participating this year, and for good reason too.

I don't think it's pointless to FO and to the fans, it's important to see how they can handle better opponents. It's not like SL players are real NBA players, but they are better than NCAA ones, because they were stars there in first place.

Also, it's not only stats, you can see them closer and check if they will be able to get PT or are raw as hell.

I won’t repeat Knightro’s posts because the question remains...why would the Magic’s lack of success / disappointment be funny?

I predict we'll be signing Shane Larkin soon.

I remember a report came out that Olando and Detroit had interest in him. Detroit signed Rose, so that leaves the Magic. Plus his family lives here and he's from here.

He's probably better than MCW.

With three point guards on guaranteed contracts already, I would be very surprised if the Magic added a 4th.

I think a backup SG/SF is more likely.

Maybe DaQuan Jefferies gets the 15th spot for the minimum.

Just read the Boston has the rights to Larkin and they have to decide by mid July whether to keep him.

I think it's next Monday they have to decide.

They got hit pretty hard by injuries in Clifford's second year in Charlotte.

Kemba and Zeller missed 20 games apiece. Kidd-Gilchrist missed 27 games. Al Jefferson missed 17. All those guys were starters.

If the Magic have four starters each miss 15-25 games, the odds are pretty unlikely they'll make the playoffs.

What? Holding a player (in recovery back from a stress fracture) out of meaningless scrimmage games equals a wasted pick?

Yes...Zion is a wasted pick too! :banghead:
