i doubt we will see him. id expect another veteran player or ball handler

I know we dumped on him a bit, but this offense opened up completely when Crabbe and Harris got going.

In the chance that Joe goes down (everyone knock on wood like crazy now), we don't have another guy who can really burn defenses at the wing (aside from Kyrie, which would have been Russell last season).

I would like that insurance here.

I agree with this. We would definitely benefit from having another knockdown 3pt shooter.
Possible 3pt candidates on roster:
Chandler: 39% with Philly (3.3 3PA) & 35.8% season before (3.3 3PA)
Temple: 34% last yr,(3.5 3PA) & 39% season before(3.5 3PA)

Digging a bit deeper, they are both >40% 3p shooters from the corner and when wide open. Given our offense, that seems like a great fit.

Obviously not Joe Harris levels but if they both can shoot around 39% that would do nicely.

I agree last roster spot should be a rotation veteran

Shooting is always nice but I think we have more than enough on the roster.

Kyrie, Harris, Prince are really good.

Chandler and Temple are streaky but can knock down open shots.

The team has to bank on improvement from LeVert, Dinwiddie, Rodi who hovered around 32% but appear to have much higher ceilings than that.

I wouldn't be mad at another shooter but I think we're missing a strong 4 that can play smallball 5. Last year, Kenny could go to Dudley and RHJ at 5 if we wanted to spread the floor out and speed up the game. Now the only option is Rodi who's way too weak.

The issue is that carrying only two bigs leaves us prone to situations like we saw in the playoffs if someone gets hurt. We should carry 3 centers.

with Deandre i think we will go small at the 5 more... kenny now has 2 guys who can play pick and roll he will want that out there. id be ok with an RHJ type as the 14th or 15th man though.

i do disagree about shooters. we saw how ugly it was when Harris was out last year. id be all over a korver or morrow signing and had really hoped we'd have signed ellington

Agree with Prok in the sense that we still need shooters if possible....

From where now? Idk... Reddick would've been huge if possible but he went to the pelicans for God knows why

I'm less worried about the shooting with Kyrie on the team. He can run off screens and play the Harris role on offense better than anyone but Harris. Last year, the only option when Harris was out was Crabbe - who was usually injured or off his game. Russell could shoot but he's more of a spot up/off the dribble guy - not a motion/off screen guy. Kyrie can do it all offensively. Prince can help fill that gap too.

I'm not opposed to adding a third big, but it doesn't need to be a small 5 like he was suggesting.

I will also say Brimah has a shot at our 2 way deal replacing Big Sauce. He could be our emergency big.
