This "air conditioning is sexist" debate on Twitter is so annoying. I work in an office where the women can wear almost anything they want, but the men have to wear pants, socks, and dress shirts. When I can wear shorts, a tee and sandals to the office we can relax the AC a bit.

Gauff looked like she ran out of gas today :(

She had to win three extra matches in qualifying to even get into the main draw, seems like that combined with the long match in the last round caught up with her a bit.

Twitter is so terrible. I swear only 2 or 3 more years and I’m gonna finally give up for good

It really is horrible. It's like having a group text discussion with complete strangers. It feeds into and exacerbates every bias humans experience.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

The women's draw could not possibly be more wide open for Serena now.

I'm a newb. Started some research. Bought some beginner cigars from cigar daily and watched some of his YouTube videos. Pretty good stuff there.

Bought the below from northwoods humidor llc:
a craftsman bench humidor came with some accessories. Also a cigar caddy travel humidor.
Rocky patel jet cigar lighter with a punch cutter.

I was never heavy into cigars, but back in the day when when the urge for a stogie arrived, I always found Macanudo's to have good taste while also being mild enough for an occasional cigar smoker.

I thought about getting into them a while back (pretty sure I even posted the same question here) after a friend brought me a couple Cubans from his trip to Havana that I enjoyed, but I ultimately decided against it for practical reasons. I'll still grab a cigar every once in a while when I'm at Maduro's in Madison, but I haven't graduated to buying and storing them on my own.

I've been jonesing for one for the last couple weeks, though.

If it's not Serena v Halep now it would be pretty surprising. And I'd say that puts Serena in control for sure, with grass historically being Halep's worst surface (though she's still very good). This would be her first Wimbledon final if she makes it.

I'm sad about Kvitova. She's had some nagging injuries leading into the tournament so not a huge surprise, but she was still playing well. I want to see her win again.

Idk what it is about getting older, but my folks went from suffering if the thermostat was set above 70 to trembling if it's below 75.

I stayed with them a few months ago and turned the thermostat down to 72 when I went to sleep (which is still too hot for me - I'd prefer it set at 68 when I'm sleeping, but I was trying to be considerate). My mom apparently woke up a half hour later and grabbed her heated blanket, and then whined to me about it the next morning. And it's not like they're old - they're both in their early 50s.

Besides the World Cup and NBA FA, ESPN's home page has been an annoying ad for the Home Run Derby.

Today was one of the most fun days in tennis and you had to scroll quite far to see any mention of it (granted...most of the matches today so happened to have been blow outs, but not all).

Watching now; love this idea for a video. I will say though that I am not excited about Polygon trying to create their own, weird Tim Rogers, whom I absolutely loathe.

I leave WI for one summer and:
The Bucks collapse vs Toronto (I departed the day of G3)
Doug Ciampa, Jimmy's Grotto owner, passes away
Eddie Glorioso (who knew my grandparents really well) passes away

**** man

I don't get the audience that loves him. Makes me want to put a screwdriver through my ear.

We didn't trade for Russell Westbrook?

I did go up to Mt Buller but firstly our farmstay did not have the anticipated open fire and then secondly our dog sled ride got cancelled as there was no snow.

My wife went for a her first job interview after finishing study and didn't get it. We got smashed in the cricket. So yeah, just the first sentence?

Can't believe Roger and Rafa haven't played at Wimbledon since the final in 2008. Looking forward to this one.

She shouldn't be too disheartened- Art's prefers to hire ladies working their way through school, not really ones who have finished.
