Yea Clippers are under the gun to win it all in 2 years, otherwise Kawhi + PG13 might bolt. However what sucks the most is that this may affect FA strategy next year. The team might not be willing to dole out large deals to retain JaGreen and Harrell, cuz they dont want to clog up cap space to chase other FAs that might be available. Also already having deals like MacGruder, PatBev, and Zubac already on the books too, so i dunno if the team will have 2 35% max slots available to reload, if the worst case happens.
Lakers are in a worse spot, they have to do well next year or else AD might bolt, and Lebron shortly after him, leaving them a desolate wasteland with no picks to rebuild and a dumpster fire FO/ownership group flailing about.
Personally i have ALOT more confidence that the LAC FO wont **** things up, unlike the LAL FO. However this does put ALOT of pressure over the next 2 years. Oddly enough i thought PG13 signed a 4+1 max deal with OKC, i guess he only signed 3+1 huh.
