Had potential, of course. Used his wingspan to make some things happen defensively.

I’m not on the “good teammate” bandwagon. Sure he smiled and gave high fives but I’d rather have guys who actually help the team compete. “Fat and jolly” is for the Rec league and I would’ve smacked him for that dab thing.

This may be hard to believe, but I once saw a woman in a Hannaford's parking lot with a larger butt than Yabs... And she was wearing stretch pants... And I think the pants were begging for mercy.

He showed glimpses, but was to.undersized and not mobile enough to guard quicker bigs.
Bad sign he was assigned to summer league, even worse sign he sucked in the games he played.
Best of luck in the future.

It was time, he seemed like a good guy and a hard worker, the game just hasn't clicked for him. I think he'll make plenty of money in the Euro leagues.

Maybe don't let Sir Mix-A-Lot draft players for the Celtics.

He did provide some enthusiasm on the bench.

It is important for Boston players to have nicknames, so he had that.

Consistency, shot 68.2% on free throws every season?

Has a PER more than double of Semi. Higher true shooting % too.

This is where Ainge can use some improvement, drafting late, Siakam went late in that 1st round!

The thing is though, that we had 8 picks that year.
Ainge had to do something with all those picks.

I believe that 2 ended up being stashed (Ante Žižić being the other one), and 2 others traded for a future pick.
He picked Yabusele because he agreed to be stashed.

Great feet just didn't have enough discipline to learn lanes and help d. And when he did shoot it wasn't pretty even though he has good form, but 3 years is enough to know that he just didn't get it. Still young though. Can't say enough about his locker room mentality good stuff I don't consider this a complete miss as he has exploitable stuff he just couldn't stick the landing.

Danny passed on LeVert, Siakam, Zubac, Dejounte Murray and Brogdon so he could draft and stash due to some mythical roster crunch he felt. Of course, he ended up dropping Young, Mickey and Hunter anyway thus destroying that false narrative of a roster crunch. Man, imagine if Danny wasn't an atrocious drafter?

yeah this will go down in the pantheon of turrible ainge picks.

but atrocious drafter? lol. the guy who drafted rondo at 21, al at 15, perk at 27, traded down to grab tatum at 3, and has consistently kept us in big-time trade conversations with our young guys? nah.

pretty dumb to judge a GM by their worst picks. every GM looks terrible doing that.

So, I'm fine with people who see Danny as a poor drafter. I really don't get the need to list all the people that came after a pick who ended up better.
Using that criteria, everyone is a bad drafter.

You would have taken Siakam at 16?
