Which points?
Yeah I don’t understand the direction you’re saying this with. Their points about Thanasis were strictly it being a can of worms they both think they would not have personally opened.

I found their points laying out the downside risk, the inverse of what the pro Thanasis crowd's hopes are, to be very well reasoned. A 15th slot on the roster shouldn't be burdened with the ability to help or hurt the star's chances of resigning with the organization. They recounted how every roster spot becomes vital as the season goes along. There are always injuries, upgrades appearing on the waiver wire, trades that require an extra salary. Potentially being beholden to a 15th spot for two years presents an unprecedented and unnecessarily awkward predicament. "Is the 15th man now untouchable because of his last name?" If Giannis does sign the extension, does he pull a Paul George after year one if the Bucks cut his brother? Frank made a great point that the locker room is "just a collection of guys." Have you ever known a collection of guys to be cool with overt nepotism, to not talk **** about it behind backs? What happens if RayJohn Tucker or whoever absolutely busts Thanasis's ass in training camp? Players all take note of that kinda stuff. Just too much downside risk or a 15th spot.
Also agree with their pointing out that the Bucks added an unnecessary level of murkiness by just gifting him a two year guaranteed contract without a player of his stature going through the traditional summer league, training camp paths. It's almost like they didn't want him to be exposed too early. He skipped steps and it's kinda odd that the vacations in Greece with the family seemed to take precedence over summer league/ working out in front of Bucks coaches.
How do you know that Thanasis didn't join the coaching staff at all before the signing? Or that he hasn't spent any time with them in the past year. Giannis brothers are often at the training facility.
The purpose of their Greek trip was Giannis' charity function, Rise N Give. Suspect he was going to be at SL if not for the conflict & Giannis wanting him there.
Conversely what happens when Thanasis busts Sterling & DJ Wilson's ass? Shuts down Khash Money?
Giannis improves players games, we've witnessed this. But he won't push his brother to practice & improve? He's still young enough.
Look at their personalities. This isn't an average situation.
Bucks will win this bet. Bank on it.
