All this means to me is that if the plan all along was to let Brogdon walk, they would’ve been better off signing short term stop gap cheap guys with appropriate skill sets to surround Giannis while letting Middleton go as well so we could eventually have the flexibility to make the big move. This or keeping everyone (sans Mirotic) were the only two outcomes that made sense. Keeping Midd while letting Brogdon go was old school herb kohl-esque “one foot in, one foot out” BS.

I can only laugh at the decent sized base of people carrying LED’s water and insisting that not only will they be fine without Brogdon, but better off even. Same people falling all over themselves because we brought in Giannis and Brook’s crappy brothers for PR purposes.

It’s not that he can’t stay with guys. It’s that he goes flying by them anytime they pump fake

apparently not that either.

If you don’t watch games I’d imagine you’d say something like that

We just saw Anthony Davis and Paul George force themselves to be traded to the teams they wanted to go to. Players have the control in today's NBA. Now, you can say Westbrook isn't the type of player to Kawhi/Kyrie a team and maybe that's true. But if Washington is the team that wants Westbrook the most but Westbrook says he won't play for the Wizards, then there is nothing the Wizards can do about it.

Westbrook has very little leverage under that contract. Davis was going into his final year and said he wasn't signing. And PG just signed his extension. OKC didn't have to do anything with him.

If the Wizards trade for Russ, he's going to Washington.

i hope to god we are involved in the Westbrook stuff, just as long as we aren't taking back Westbrook.. Take advantage of other teams' desperation.

What do you mean by "more than years?" My understanding is that we are now well over the cap of 109M which means that Robin is getting the exception and every other player must be signed at the minimum.

Could be, but the more I look at the trade machine it just doesn't seem like we are going to be capable of bringing anyone who makes more than 10-12M back in a trade and that's provided we trade Ersan + DJ or DDV.

The difference in being able to trade for Gallinari or not is quite literally that 9-12M TPE that we apparently renounced.. i'm aware that we can't combine it with players but we could have absorbed an expiring with it and sent that expiring as part of a Gallinari deal.

Now, it appears that this roster is pretty much set in stone in terms of needle movers.

How exactly did PG force a trade? He requested a trade but OKC could keep him.He had 0 leverage.

I'm thinking we definitely get improvement out of DDV and Brown. I considered Wilson the worst player of all time last year so who knows what will happen this season. Our team is already built better for the post season. If we don't play as well reg season (less blowouts) and win a few less games I won't be worried.

Exactly. People have talked themselves into liking these moves but it was one of the least creative off-seasons I could’ve imagined. I thought this team was looking to the take next step. Didn’t realize it was going to be a step backwards.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Not that it says a whole lot but are either of these guys playing well in the SL? I have only been partially paying attention but I thought they were certainly not killing it out there. Which they probably should be...

The next 'classic Bucks' move will be the 2 for 1 Middleton trade where the Bucks receive two 'solid' players on smaller/shorter contracts.
