Kawhis supporrting cast and toughest competition
I find it laughable that these clips fans are coming out of the closet crowning kawhi. Imo, the clips are equal to, if not slightly worse than the raps last year, but its the competition that will be tougher as well.
Lowry
Green
Kawhi
Siakim
Gaaol
Van vleet
Powell
Ibaka
>= clippers
Also raptors saw no one like lakers and an improved (imo) philly. Gsw also improved if klay is healthy.
Lakers this year would have swept banged up warriors.
Clippers not winning **** as history repeats itself.
Cant wait for the season.

I wouldn't go that far. Lowry+Ibaka definitely better than Lou+Green. That being said the OP is a foolish if he thinks last year's Raptors team is more talented.

Lol imagine thinking lou williams is better than a 5 time all star and montrezl equal to Siakam is hilarious. Actually you putting JaMychal over ibaka is kinda funny too. Clippers have a good team but you're over selling it a little bit - be honest with yourself.

Honestly, I'd go with the Raps players on every single one of those matchups outside of PG. Bev and FVV are pretty close to equal though IMO.
Paul George alone puts the Clips over last years Raps easily.

This comparison must be a joke.
%50 Siakam >Montrezl
%50 Lowry > Lou Will
Except PG all comparisons are the opposite.

Re: Kawhis supporrting cast and toughest competition
This thread will be a dumpster fire and a pissing match between Raps/Clips fans.
Raps were deep af...a phenomenal team that earned a Chip. What more needs to be said?
The clips will have 2 legitimate MVP candidate level players on their team in Kawhi/PG.... AND they have solid depth/roll players.
This thread/argument isn't necessary. Clips are gonna mop the floor with the rest of the league next year.

Lmfao at Montreal Harrell being equal to Siakam. You only got the Danny green and Gasol part right. I think clippers might be in for a surprise unless they can make another move. That depth especially with load management and being in the west wont do as well as those Raptors.

I'll agree they should be favorites but saying they'll mop the floor is a bit much. They're no 2016-2018 Warriors.

Talent wise, I agree Kawhi made sort of a lateral move. The PG signing was huge for them, but the Raptors were an overall more balanced team. The Raps bench was also much deeper with Ibaka and VanVleet.
The Clippers are still short of a big man and shooting. Great defense though.

"Raps bench was much deeper". Um it's almost like people forgot which bench crushed the league and the record in bench scoring and bench efficiency. It is arguably the best bench ever. People are going by the finals series when guys stepped up and not realizing the Clippers had the best bench all year long by a mile (Raptors weren't even a top 10 bench). There is a reason Lou won 6th man and Harrell finished 3rd place. The Raptors had more top end talent than the Clippers last year, their advantage was DEFINITELY not the bench lol.

2 MVP level versatile players who can score anywhere on the court. Both clutch, both elite scorers. Between the two of them they are the 2 best wing defenders in the NBA outside of Giannis. PG was nominated as DPOY candidate this season, Kawhi has won it twice. Pat Beverly is one of the best wing defenders in the league, also shoots the 3 well. Lou Will is 2 time 6th man of the year... can dominate defenses all by himself and score from anywhere on the court. Harrell is a junkyard dog of a beast who is likely to continue improving over the next couple of years. Solid roll players, great shooters, elite defense , elite stars...
I don't know man... I think this team is built to cake walk their way to multiple championships.
I could never say it yet as they haven't even played a single game, but on paper... I'd argue they're as good as peak Warriors. I don't think people have really considered in detail what this roster is made of.

Its not always about what the stats and media feed you. You have to watch the games and use your own brain to see types of problems and mismatches VanVleet, Ibaka, and Powell were able to create in the playoffs and finals... OFF. THE. BENCH.
After all, the Raptors did beat the team the Clippers lost to.
You can't just look at who "comes off the bench". Dig deeper. Look at Lou Williams usage rate and then look at Vanvleet and Ibaka's.
Lou Will ranks 13th in usage rate across the NBA. Ibaka ranks at 99th, Powell ranks at 219th, while Vanvleet is even lower at 241.
If you're winning 6th man awards, you're likely playing starter minutes too. Lou Will played 32 and 27 mpg the last 2 seasons. The Raps players averaged 20 and 27 the last 2 years.

I mean I don’t really disagree with you which is why I’m saying that they should be favorites. But close to peak warriors.... come on dude. Warriors had two of the GOAT shooters, 2nd best player in the world, arguably the best defensive player in the world and solid pieces around them.
Clippers have Kawhi (top 3 player) PG (top 10 player) and a bunch of solid pieces. Beverley is a good perimeter defender but really poor offensive player. You’d think the way some people talk about him that he’s Gary Payton - the man averaged 7 ppg last season lol. Then you have Lou Williams who is good when he’s hot but he could just as easily shoot you out of a game and plays 0 defense. And Harrell is just an energy guy that’s good but nothing too crazy. Same with the rest of the roster.
Also nobody wants to talk about it but Clippers are one PG13 or Kawhi injury from shambles land. Now you could say that about most teams and their best players but I don’t trust either of their health.

How do clippers cover up Lou Williams and Patrick Beverly during crunch time against big guards? They get absolutely crushed when the guards are bigger.
Beverly has become overrated at this point. At least Lou is amazing in offense.
