Everybody thats complaining about his contract, remember...the same amount of money is paid by each team. The salary cap is what it is. It's not like not dealing for WB is magically going to save you money with cheaper tickets or less commercials next year. If we never knew what a player makes and it is a simple personal decision...would you rather have WB or JJ, Olynik, Winslow and Goran?

Is it? Gom put out a nice chart the other day explaing WB as a top 20 player, I think it would do good here

Could you extrapolate on this madness?

Chris Paul is 34 years old right now and not nearly as impactful.

He plays smart but he doesn't have near the gravitational pull or level of impact on a court that WB has.

He's a good complementary piece at this point but is far from a foundational piece to build anything of substance around. That is obvious and I don't have the time or energy to delve into it deeper.

The below video is a quality assessment of the pros and cons of Westbrook that gives credit to his huge impact on the game despite his inefficiency:

I'd rather keep all the young talent by any means necessary. Everyone else can go. If its not enough oh well, wait for the next boat. There will always be another one.

Other than Bam, Herro and Winslow are so dispensable......
We have at best, Voshon Lenard and Sasha Danilovic and y’all act like they are Wade and LeBron
#HEATLifer #VFL

You're welcome LeBron.

Tyler Herro is a TURD.
Bam is NOT elite but is getting better.
Fire Spoelstra!
Josh Heupel is coming for you.

Presti really went all in on that request. I’m sure he’ll be more than happy with Winslow and fillers by the end of it.

If we miss out on WB I’m not going to lose much sleep over it, I really want him here but I’m also really excited about this team as it is. We’ve got a good blend of youth and experience, I truly believe in these kids growing to be good players. Imo we’re 5th or 6th in the East as it is.

Keep the assets we have and go for another trade over the season, I’m sure someone else becomes available or worst case scenario we have all our assets and hit free agency next season and the one after pretty hard.

Like I said if we can get WB I’ll love it but I’m not going to lose sleep over it.

We are acting like Westbrook is Wade or Lebron, which he is not. We cannot deplete the team for a guy that cannot carry us in the playoffs without quality players around him. We need to keep those quality players.

Just checked out OKC's board to see what they have in mind from HOU:

Rockets all we want is your 2022 and 2024 first round pick, with Cappela and Gordon. We will even do you a favor and take PJ Tucker off your hands, if you take back Patrick Patterson.

Capela would be a good asset by himself. I can’t imagine Houston isn’t trying to dump Paul.

If they can get that from Houston, more power to them, and we have no chance whatsoever.

CP3 + 2 HOU FRP to MIN

RW to HOU

Teague + Wiggins + MIN FRP to OKC

Let minny keep their pick and send us culver.

I don't think Wiggins is a guy we want here...

Not sure if Minny does this, depends on how badly they want to get rid of Wiggin's contract. I'd imagine Minny's pick would have protections.

Maybe OKC would eat Wiggin's contract if Minny's pick is unprotected.

Yeah, but if you are taking Ben's approach, you have to compare CP's advanced stats with Westbrook's
RPM
CP - 4.76
WB - 2.51

PIPM
CP - 3.2
WB - 3.3

PSA
CP -111.9
WB - 100.2

So advanced stats favor Paul, you could argue that Westbrook will be much much better in 2 years, but it's a different conversation

You aren't allowed any more opinions after declaring Ramona Shelburne as attractive.

So whats your plan for the next 4 years of Butler?

Seems like an oversimplification that diminishes much of his nuanced assessment to me. To each their own.

I understand those who don't know want Westbrook to Miami. Could make a case for going after him or not. Both have arguments.
But this forum was on fire last two days by the idea of Westbrook going to Miami but now you guys don't want to trade Winslow (by far your worst asset) to get him. A bit weird...

The advanced stats go out the window when you add this context.

Chris Paul total missed games last two seasons: 48

Westbrook total missed games the last 4 years: 14

Chris Paul is a top 5 point guard ever, but age and attrition are hitting him hard. He can't play 70 games, much less 82.

Worst asset is hyperbole. Right now Winslow is the best all around basketball player of the 3, and contrary to the popular opinion it's not even close.
