CP3 will be a free agent in 2022?

Will be the year that Ferguson gets RFA. We will still have SGA under team option. If we are going to start a long rebuild and Houston overpay us to get rid of CP3, why not. I don't like it but it's negotiable. We can collect so many picks that we could trade some to get rid of CP3 before that if needed (if we get some first from Houston, odds of picks from Miami/Houston or Clippers to be high on the draft are great)

Not saying that it's the deal I want to make (on the contrary) but if Morey makes an absurd offer, sure let's do it.

Because the guy that Russ is accused of being in the locker room is actually cp3.

Could see CP3 coaching the team during all time outs while Billy sits in silence on the bench

Presti turned it off. He's gonna break this news himself.

This story has been especially great for that. Because Thunder beat reporters get nothing. But the Thunder can't control the flow of information on Miami's side, and they do have decent beat reporting. So we're getting something resembling accurate, insider info and our local reporters get to read it on Hoopshype like the rest of us and then tweet it out to the rubes and everyone's happy.

Miami is going to end up winning by forcing Presti to trade Russ to Detroit.

I hope we don't trade Russ to Detroit, unless Russ wants it.

In my opinion it is far more benefitial to trade Westbrook wherever he wants to be, even if it means we don't get great assets in return (and I think at worst we get bad expirings/two-year deals, which wouldn't be ideal but not that bad at all, might even help us tanking; but please no bad lockerroom presences).
The reputation that comes with it (or the loss of reputation if we trade Russ wherever the best assets it returns) is too valuable to lose.

Word is Russ gave a list of teams. Miami was at the top. This does not mean the Thunder must trade him to Miami. Houston is an interesting option. Let’s see who can offer a better deal. Maybe the Thunder make a deal w/ Houston for CP3 then ship him to MIA...

Westbrook to my knowledge has never lived in Michigan or Florida. He's not a big party scene guy from what we know. Unless he just really hates the cold I don't get why Miami would be that preferable to Detroit for him or his family.

I mean he's played in Oklahoma City. Is Detroit worse than OKC?

Detroit is much worse than OKC. It doesn’t mean Russ won’t end up there. Miami thinks they are LAL w/AD where no one else will bid. Teams will bid because Russ is locked in and isn’t leaving in one season. Russ’ value is a bit more than what Utah gave for Mike Conley.

There are nice areas. Just like there are nice areas around Chicago. I think Detroit could easily be where he goes.

The more I read about and watch sekou, the more I want him on this roster.

Pretty sure Lakers would be his n°1 option but the lakers can't trade for him (even in December) :(

Would be nice to see him winning a championship...

Thank god. Even you think that Russ has still some minimal trade value (not like Zach Lowe and those Miami fans that want to get rid of 3 bad contracts while not giving up anything)

Some of the Miami fans on the general board thread... You'd think they were planning on Russ being the 12th man at the end of the bench or something.

It's worse on their own forum. I mean, 2 days ago they were so excited about getting Westbrook and were willing to give up Winslow for Westbrook (Herro was probably that most didn't want to trade) but now they just want for free.

If you believe Westbrook isn't worth giving up a guy like Winslow, why would you be SO excited to get him? Doesn't make any sense.
