Doesn't matter much. KD, Westbrook, Harden = 1 finals and 0 rings. Lets hope they draft good though so we can pick em off when they become disgruntled :D

I meant that picks in this range rarely amount to much.

So you guys want to give up more for Beal who probably moves the needle less than Westbrook. This is disappointing. People here are really happy to miss out on WB.

Wow OKC wanted to bamboozle us. Pass

we good. Also there is still the trade deadline, I am sure we'll be active by then, especially if we are a low seed lol.

I am relieved and happy that the heat didn’t give away all our youth for an inefficient shooter, that will not be worth the money at the end of his contract and that’s with respect because he is a competitor and you got to appreciate that, but you’re not gonna seriously contend with Russ on your team and the way he plays. Furthermore the rockets gave wayyy to much for em and I’m glad we didn’t suffer that same fate. Stick with what we got now and let the bad contracts expire and go for Beal with cap space with out loosing bam and Winslow or Tyler, by that time they will be in their prime and I got a really good feeling that bam is seriously gonna be a force in this league. Give me a full year of point Winnie next to jimmy buckets and the attention from the defense that he gets and Winslow can very realistically average 18-19 ppg/ 6-7 apg/ 7 rbg, especially if Herro in fact, a bucket.

Getting Russ at the cost of at least two from Winslow, Bam, Tyler and more picks than we’ve already given out (not to mention they already own two of them) is not as good as having all three young guns locked up long term on good contracts especially in Tyler’s case; and still having the cap space to just outright sign a star without the jumping through hoops to get em. Beal is still a very realistic possibility when he becomes a free agent without loosing our actual good players on good contracts for one very expensive, aging star, and very few draft picks in the cupboard again.

I feel bad for OKC fans. That is a team with truly awful management

How is this bad for okc? They stay hauling picks
These picks are gonna be high 20s damn near second rounders.

A lot can happen of course, but it really looks like they traded for high picks from the Kawhi+PaulGeorge Clippers, two Miami picks that should not be lottery picks, a pick from a Denver squad that has been excellent, and now two picks from Houston (another team that is rarely in the lottery.) OKC's best chance in getting a lottery pick remains being a bad team.

Butler will make us stronger players in 2021 than we'd have been with J-Rich. So no. Having him is better for the development of the young guys as well, more competitive team.

Str8_Rich the only one who never budged. Wouldn't even call Miami front runners. Even Woj got it wrong regarding RW's interests.

I mean...did you even see the reports for what they wanted from us compared to what they ended up accepting? lol

But I guess its not bad deal for them per say. I think its worse than the immediate cap relief we were offering though, and I doubt all those picks they're hauling amount to anything for them or for any trade partner they might be trying to hoard them for.

Then again, OKC might have been seeing it like since they're not really a destination, what do they need cap space for bc no one will sign there. Idk. Either way I don't care much and I'm glad we didn't trade any young players for him.

I wouldn't. Like I said, they shouldn't even be lottery picks. Chris Paul is owed $124,000,000. Plus, you can bet OKC's conversation will start with WInslow/Herro/Bam... all over again. I feel we dodged a bullet and maybe should focus on making the team we have work.

In that case I'll take on Wall for Beal.

Woj with an article stating Presti worked with Westbrook and his agent to get him to his "preferred" destination in Houston. Woj was throwing our name out there like it was hot bread. All along we weren't really in this like the media portrayed. These little rascals

Looks like we weren’t close to getting Westbrook at all

Thunder weren’t truly serious about dealing with us unless we overpaid a **** ton

Return to Miami Heat
