We got our dog, and we have the cast to support him. Dragic is such a good catch and shoot guy now, I don't understand why are we even considering trading him. Keep him & I'm pretty sure he'll sign for less money next year & maybe Dragic will be the one to recruit (Doncic?) 2 years from now.

The Russ trade would have felt good, but it would have been getting that good good from that girl you shouldn’t have type feel. Where you feel good in the moment, but afterwords you just feel bad about it and it and the after effects linger on for far too long. You could say we dodged a bullet, some might say we missed an opportunity. As of right now I’d say neither can be for sure. If 1 of our young guys explode on the scene as a legit star staring at you Winslow and Herro this day will be remembered as the day we dodged the bullet.

If not we will look back in disgust at the run that could have been.

One problem with Paul is that he isn't good. Low 40% shooter, bad from 3, cant stay on the court. He is not even a top 10 PG any more, yet alone a top 30 player. Its all name and no substance.

Add in that he makes 40 million a year past 2021 and its absolutely hideous. I know Riley is desperate, but this would cripple us far into the future.

Let OKC wallow in CP3’s contract. No need for us to take it off their hands & reward them with 1 year contracts. And for us to receive back a few 1sts and an old injury riddled CP3 who isn’t what he use to be. We might as well as sign Dwade and Melo while we are at it and just Banana Boat this sh*t.

Now that it has fallen though I agree before it did though I would have called you a liar. It’s weird how these things work.

All in all maybe I’m in the minority but I trust Riley more than myself when it comes to basketball decisions, and even though the offseason didn’t meet my crazy expectations I do think this team improved. I’m excited for next season I couldn’t say that a month ago. Thought it might be two year until I could watch real Heat basketball, at least we’ll have that this year, with the hope for more moving forward.

Cp3 needs to do OKC a favor and retire... honestly he is so undeserving of the remaining of his deal.. that is just a vomitous contract... at least Westbrook can produce stats that make it seem like he should be a max player, dont think hes a supermax tho...

CP3's shooting percentage has pretty much always been in the mid to upper 40s. Last year, a season in which the team was dealing with dysfunctional chemistry issues, his percentage dipped into the low 40's. I wonder just how much of his decline was attributed to those issues.

Your claims about his 3 point shooting aren't really accurate. He shot roughly 36% last season which albeit isn't great, but it also is far from bad.

Injury concerns are real, but then again, so are Westbrook's and, IMO, so are Dragic's.

And the notion that he's no longer a top 10 PG is a little premature, IMO. It is harder these days to have a clear listing with so many teams moving to positionless basketball, but even with the ambiguity, I still would struggle to come up with a list of 10 definitive better PGs.

That is a pretty big problem. A deal breaker I’d say

I have watched nearly every Heat game since the late 80s. Especially since the Riley era. The Heat organization and fans always overrate the their players. Example TJ. But it’s not just our fans or our organization most do it. The problem for us is lately it has set us back. Example. Signing contracts to all the players on that comeback season was ridiculous. Anyway you get my point stop overrating our young players. They are not all stars just good bench players and good role players. They will never be All Stars. Also, I am not taking about the rookies. What the Heat does have is good depth. You should be saying I don’t want to get rid of my depth for a player who pads his stats or now for CP3 who is past his prime and injury prone. This won’t help us in the 2020 or 2021 free agency period.

Windhorst was also the one saying that Miami was Westbrook's preferred destination earlier today so who knows how clued in he really is on this one.

Wall is cheaper than CP3 for the next 2 seasons and basically the same on the 3rd.

Also Goran gives you 98% of CP3's production.

Make CP3 take a deep breath and swallow hard and ask for a buyout or thug it out in Oklahoma.

I agree, I don't see one all star in the bunch. A good collection of role players that need a couple of stars to play with.

I will consider this my receipt.
