All love for Brodie! Dude was great for us. Happy heā€™s able to go play with Harden. Looks like we will get a little look into what the future could have been.

I am still in shock.

As much as it would hurt if Westbrook wins his championship in Houston I am rooting for him.

Good Luck Russ, and thanks for being the best player in Thunder history.

My favorite player in the league. Loved what he brought to OKC. The passion, energy and drive were second to none in the history of the league.

I posted on the main board that while he did a lot of good things for OKC but I'm happy OKC is finally moving on from him. His style of play and decision making wore thin on me over the past couple of years.

Part of the blame for this, IMO, lies with the OKC coaches and management. They gave him entirely too much freedom. Freedom he wasn't equipped/mature enough to handle. I believe that's why we saw a lot of reckless play and flippant behavior both on and off the court.

It's kinda like that old saying......."absolute power, corrupts absolutely".

Russ was an intensely maddening player to root for, but that made the good times even better. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm gonna miss him for sure, can't even picture him in another jersey.

I appreciate the good things he did while he was here. Iā€™ll leave it at that.

I know it sucks guys but remember.. OKC have done more in its 11 years than some bigger market teams have done in the last 30. We have been spoilt with this team and the players that have worn the jersey.

Although i was a little bit over him and his style of play he has done so much for OKC and the state in general.

All good things must come to an end. I will miss the brodie but the future isnt all doom and gloom

Joined this site back in 2015, picked this avatar just thought its funny, hated him for taking Harden's MVP but stuck with it anyway. Talking about destiny.

MVP, 8 all nba selections, 2 scoring champs, 2 assist leaders, 2 all star mvps, and most of all, the most loyal guy in OKC franchise history. This guy needs to have his number 0 up in the rafter there.

Why it's impossible? It has to be that moment when he laugh at that Philly fan. :D

You should be glad he's gone because you'll never win a title or even get past 1st round with Westbrook

ā€œIf you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,ā€ coach Billy Donovan said.

Thank you Russ! All the best for your future! I hope you can put it together for one last run for the championchip. You deserve it, even with all the flaws in your game, you will always be loved by OKC fans.

I think I will go watch some highlight videos of Russ and cry a littleā€¦
