Heat Could Be 'Possibility' For Chris Paul

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jul 12, 2019 5:30 am

The Miami Heat could potentially make a move for Chris Paul after Paul was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Rockets and Thunder looked to add a third team for Paul during their trade negotiations, but will now leave discussions up to the Thunder and Paul's agent.

The Heat and Thunder were reportedly in trade discussions for Westbrook, but the Heat were unwillingly to part with young assets.

With CP3s massive contract Id want some picks with him if I was the Heat.

Lol if I'm Pat Riley I want nothing to do with Chris Paul or his twin brother Cliff. I would wait out to see how this Westbrook-Rockets experiment goes if it flames out like Melo then Riley could step in and acquire Westbrook around the trade deadline from the Rockets at an even better price than what he was willing to pay. This reminds me a lot of 2008-09 when Raptors acquired Jermaine O'Neal and thought pairing him with Chris Bosh would win them a championship like what acquiring Kawhi just did in 2019. We all know the former experiment ended at the trade deadline with O'neal ironically shipped to Heat for pennies on the dollar compared to what the Raptors gave up. Masai Ujiri was also the Raptors Assistant GM under Colangelo during the Jermaine O'Neal era in era.
