Re: Welcome Al Horford(?!?)
Horford is extremely smart....he will improve our defense, improve our 2nd unit and allow us to load manage Embiid and he will space the floor in a Brook Lopez type of way for Simmons and co.

Next step is to slowly find a replacement for this guy.
A 2 way PF who can space the floor and play back-up C for Embiid.

Could be Bolden, Could have been Kabengele or maybe picking up jontay Porter or Justin Patton and developing one of them.

The abrupt way he said "we fell short of that goal," without any softening at all after.

Maxi Kleber on the Mavs is the perfect guy. He's who I wanted to target before I found out we were signing Horford.
Not sure what it would take to get him in the future though as they signed him long term this year.
For us, we need to try to develop Jonah Bolden into that guy.

Next step should be to draft and develop a point guard

Nah. Just cheaply get a yearly Neto. What we need is a starting PF once Horford starts to decline.
Alternative is we revert back Tobias to PF then insert Thybulle or Zhaire with JR.

Not messing with this. Guard and ballhandler depth is a championship essential and it's the area in which we are lacking in the most.

Tobias Harris is the PF. Embiid and Horford aren't going to play together more than 15 per game, if their goal is to prevent the predictable avalanche, every time Embiid gets a cup of Gatorade.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I think they will try to play Horford-joel and Harris together.
I'm not sure that would be a failure: it could works.
For sure it will be an intriguing experiment.

Well... yeah. They'll all be in the starting lineup. I'd guess that Tobias will always be out there when Horford and Embiid are paired since it will likely just be the start of each half and the final minutes of the game.

Both Spotrac and Early Bird Rights now have Horford’s contract breakdown as 28M/27.5M/27M/26.5M-14.5 guaranteed
So uninspired. Means they definitely renounced all cap holds and TPE’s. Feels like yet another small loss at the margins.

Re: Welcome Al Horford(?!?)
My guess is both Scott and Harris will get more minutes at the 4 than Horford. He should be soaking up all the backup C minutes on nights Embiid is playing.
KOQ will play on nights when Embiid (or Horford) are out.

I don't see what's so difficult to fathom about the offense with both Embiid and Horford in the lineup. The 76ers had Dario Saric in the lineup at PF with Embiid. Saric doesn't do anything that Horford is incapable of doing and isn't anymore mobile.

Re: Welcome Al Horford(?!?)
Šarić is bad defensively and moves like an overweight seal, but in the season before being traded he shot like 40% + from 3 after ASB. Can Horford do that?
