Anyone able to summarise what space/exceptions you guys have left?
Great offseason, you just need a decent stopgap 4 to round things out, it seems.

Sorry Hayward killed your team chemistry. He's always been about himself. I'm just glad Jazz didn't get stuck with max deal he's not worth. You guys still have some really great young talent and hope Hayward doesn't wreak them and run em off.

Weirdly, killing our team chemistry seemed to be a team effort. Not just GH.

When coach starts force feeding one player and the rest are mad about it? Killing the team for him to grow into the star they thought they were signing? KI didn't help matter much. I do like Kemba more than KI for your PG this year. Loosing Al isn't gonna help and only make 76s that much harder to get by. Good luck next year.

We get an elite perimeter defender (if he is healthy) or just drop Dante's salary next year + a bigger power forward that still hits the three, even if he isn't as good anymore.
I love Roberson but even at his elite skill of defending, Dante is a comparable defender and has the potential to be even better. Not to mention Dante helps break the paint, which is huge for our offense. And Roberson has missed essentially the last 2 years. I'm not dumping an elite defender in Exum for a one time elite defender who doesn't do anything else. Go look at his FT%. I used to be in on Patrick Patterson but Niang can do thing Pat would provide, so no reason there either.

Roberson is actually something I could see us doing for Dante. OKC loves guys with high pedigree from their draft status or high school careers (Noel, Kanter, Waiters, Bazley, Ferguson, Diallo, Dipo ect).

I don't think it's a trade we should do now, too much uncertainty and it's not in the Jazz's favor. Roberson may never be healthy again, Dante might actually be healthy and a good player for us. I think OKC still does this trade if Dante is not having a great season, maybe injured again, and Roberson wants out. Presti is really making a point that he wants to do best by his players.

Whose actually watching these summer league games? I love to attend those when I can but his year in just too busy. Haven’t seen one minute of them. Tony B. Is putting up impressive numbers. Are those real or a facade? Can he actually be a third string C?

Roberson can't even be on the floor in the 4th due to his putrid FT shooting. Not to mention he has no other offensive game. Exum can at least get to the basket lightning quick and make FT.

No thanks. Especially not knowing were Roberson is health wise.

He has always been pretty good at rebounding and that is coming through this summer again. What is a good development is that he has lost some weight and gained some strength and occasionally blocks shots and dunks. However, his defense isn't very good and it is questionable whether he can get away with what he is doing in SL vs NBA players. I still question whether he is an NBA player, but he is starting to project as a 3rd string center used only as needed on a limited basis.

Before his last injury (I've lost count how many that one was), Exum was starting to play well. We should see how this season goes for him before giving up, IMO.

If you guys believe in #LockeWatch, he's been throwing Isaiah Cousins' name as potential roster spot guy a lot out there. It's possible he gets a contract and a roster spot.

Donovan's world tour is not going as planned. Apparently fans were waiting in his hotel in China all day and he posted an instagram video of it. You can find it in the thread below (turn on google translate). Now his instagram is being flooded with hateful and racist comments.

From what I gather, he'd already met those fans and signed their stuff, but they kept staying there. And then the internet mob took a hold of that video and assumed he's making fun of them...

Yeah...I think there's a massive culture difference and misunderstanding. I saw the video, he wasn't mocking them. He was basically like, "man these fans are crazy over here".

It's insane that Mitchell is the one falling victim to the internet hive mind. He's notorious for being fan friendly and Rubio even told him he has stop being so nice to fans. I don't know how you recover from a Chinese internet mob...but I hope the story gets settled straight.

Seems like Nigel Williams-Goss will be coming over, not sure if to the Jazz or you'd trade his rights, but I think he would be a good addition to this roster too, may be better than Mudiay tbh

We've apparently signed him to a multi-year deal. Either we don't see Dante as a PG, or he is being shopped.

If NWG or Mudiay pans out...look out for an Exum/Aminu potential trade.

So far the reports are NWG was signed on a 3-year deal, no word on options. The Jazz also paid a $1M buyout to his club.

So we have 4 PGs now? Granted, Mudiay and Exum will not be called real PGs by some, but still.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Considering Conley is likely to miss about 15 games, and if Exum sneezes too hard he could miss extended time, we might need it. The third string PG needs a back up when he has to start because our starter and back up are missing games.

I'm only most joking by the way. Mostly.

Yea i mean if you just look at the contracts you can see Exum is the guy. It's not personal. It's just time to shop his contract.
