Tom Moore (@TomMoorePhilly) Tweeted:
#Sixers Al Horford on joining Joel Embiid: 'I’ve always been a fan of Joel & everything he brings. There were some great battles. The possibility of teaming up w/him got me really excited about how good we can be, defensively. Working together, we can do some special things.' https://t.co/fEpHwu3Wu1

That’s one big duo! and some guys even want 6’8 Theis to start with Tatum as pf. Oh boy, Danny should have something this season before the deadline for us to compete with that. The B.Lopez and Giannis combo are even bigger. I say start Kanter and R.W against these guys.

With Thybulle and their length I bet they try some zone this year

They are going to be very tough defensively. Daunting size and pretty good perimeter d outside of Harris.

Former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett has agreed to non-guaranteed deal with Rockets, per @ShamsCharania https://t.co/x16xKudYr3

I hope everything works out for him this time.

That's gotta be little more than a Camp Invite, huh?

G - Rajon Rondo | Quinn Cook | Alex Caruso
G - Danny Green | Avery Bradley | Troy Daniels
F - LeBron James | Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
F - Anthony Davis | Kyle Kuzma | Jared Dudley
C - DeMarcus Cousins | Javale McGee

That’s a pretty solid lineup and reserves. Assuming they stay healthy, they would be hard to beat. That’s also a big lineup as well. They can also mix it up with AD at the 5 and insert kuzma at the lineup.

I'm thinking AB will play a lot of minutes matched up against the opponent's PG (with Bron playing the point on offense). Bron will likely play a lot of his minutes at PF. They ended up with solid depth.

Yup i agree. AB has some what regressed on offense, but his defense is still elite. I remember watching him hounding Steph all game. Can’t believe they ended up with a good set of reserves. Well balanced with enough outside shooting and defense. Javale and AD, as well as lebron would give Giannis and Embiid a hard time to score inside. Teams would have a hard time containing both AD and cousins inside. Can’t help but think, they were just a mess a month ago, while our team are stuck with a bunch of rookies, and end of the bench players for our reserves, minus smart. Come on Danny step it up!

^^ yeah, well done.

it did feel like a bit of a dirge for the OKC franchise tho. shows how tough it is for small market teams. presti does everything right in terms of drafting and developing a superteam, only to lose one future mvp to finances, and can never attract the right guys to round out the roster and win a chip.

meanwhile superstars flock to LA and MIA and NY in spite of brutally inept FOs to team up and win title after title.

kind of a disheartening day for the NBA really. and kind of starkly shows how difficult a task the C's FO has -- we're a lot closer to OKC in the minds of young ballers than LA or MIA.

Bam probably just trolling, but it's absurd that Heat have enough salary to make a play for Wall & Beal. Not sure how many more 1sts they can throw Wizards's way since they already owe two to OKC.

Walll-Beal-Butler-JJ-Adebayo still won't win you any titles though.

I feel for small market teams like Milwaukee. But Oklahoma City? They are a small market team by choice. They became a small market team because ownership decided to stick a knife in the backs of Seattle Supersonic fans. If they can't hack it then go home!

As a Seattle-area resident I will never have any sympathy for the Thunder. But the rest of your points are spot on.

Uhhh this doesn’t sound so convincing from AD to stay in LA

Probably smart for him to reevaluate next summer. Lakers could be a total poop show this season. Outside of LeBron, their roster sucks.

He'd actually be better off joining Kawhi and PG on the Clips. (Or us.)
