DDV has already proven he is better than Delly...that's why Bud gave him the 6th man role off the bat and the team excelled when he was on the court. Come on, Delly should be playing at a YMCA in Australia

Eh, I'm talking title contending Cavs Delly and DDV wasn't at that level. Very gritty and hearty though which is why I compared the two.

So you're saying Frank was 2018/19's DJ Wilson?

Geez, that's so weak...

For anyone to extrapolate anything from Wilson's 71 minutes of NBA playing time prior to last season is beyond ridiculous... Well, his TS% was over .620% in those 71 mins. I guess that makes him one of the best shooters in NBA history... No?

Considering most people here were willing to give DJ away for a half used box of kleenex after this rookie season, I'd say the fact we're debating if another team would offer a future first is a big improvement.

Imo too early to give up on the young guys, odds are of Sterling/DDV/Wilson one will break out and be a starter, one will meander as a rotation guy off the bench, and one will probably be out of the league in 3 years.

DDV has proven pretty much nothing as an NBA player so I don't know how people can say he's either a bust or "better than player X who's had a long NBA career". I'm treating his 2nd season as basically the 2nd half of his rookie year.

Corey Brewer is still out there. Think he'd take the minimum on a one year deal? That'd solidify the bench and you wouldn't have to hope DDV or Brown make a huge leap.

I like Donte and think he’ll find a role in the league but this pervasive “he was the first sub off the bench to start the year!” as absolute proof to his legitimacy is pretty misguided. It lasted like two weeks. The rotation was a huge question mark and still hadn’t shaken itself out. Is it an indictment on Pat Connaughton’s season that wasn’t getting off the bench to start the year? Bud didn’t know what he had and was trying different stuff. You’re basically putting a ton of worth in having a better month than Delly and Sterling Brown. The minutes he was gradually losing vanished when George Hill came to town, then he was up and down from the G-league and injured. We still have no idea what Donte is.

Would Koufos make sense if we deal Ersan, or nah?

Bucks interest could just be the Greek connection otherwise.

I don't think he's a replacement. He can't play the 4. I've heard he was shooting 3's in Europe but that was before my time so IDK. Definitely not the worst pickup as a third stringer.

Yup, apparently he's been putting up 1000 3s per day.

Bucks still need 3-point shooting.

Korver is the only sniper from deep we have been linked to I think.

The absence of rumors doesn't mean we aren't pursuing other people of course. But also possible we have a lot of eggs in the Korver basket.

Maybe Horst thinks he would hit the fountain of youth back in Budenholzer's warm embrace?

The most productive seasons of Kyle Korver’s career came in Atlanta, where he played for five seasons from 2012-17. He twice led the league in 3-point percentage, increased his passing production and was a full-time starter for the first and only time, starting 307 of 332 games while in Atlanta.

Those years on the Hawks saw Korver thrive in large part due to the head coach who deployed him in the best possible way: Mike Budenholzer. Korver made his first and only All-Star team under Bud, and saw his best playoff performances as well.

Therefore, if Korver is looking to maximize his production as he enters the twilight of his career, a reunion with Budenholzer would make sense. Coach Bud is entering his second season at the helm in Milwaukee, leading them to 60 wins and the Eastern Conference Finals in his first.

Having lost Malcolm Brogdon to the Indiana Pacers, the Bucks could benefit from another sharpshooter on the roster. An offensive system designed to maximize spacing around reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo would love to plug in a career 42.9 percent 3-point shooter.

With the Eastern Conference presenting a more palatable table of competition, the Milwaukee Bucks are Korver’s most likely bet to return him to the NBA Finals. In 2017 and 2018, Korver lost with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the Golden State Warriors are unlikely to be waiting on the other side of the matchup. Pairing with the East’s next great superstar could be his best chance at his first title.

It's the dog-days of summer..... Has Donte even been cleared to practice yet, let alone play?

Thinking about our roster as it stands today.

If George Hill makes his way into the starting lineup than a backup PG could be a need depending on how confidant our team is in Donte.

Would feel a lot better about Wes Matthews as the first guard off the bench than relying on him as a starter. Either way it's possible our team has high expectations hoping he resurrects his career in Budenholzer's system.

Even then though it seems like we could use another significant contributor somewhere between the 1/2/3 spots.

PG: Bledsoe, Divincenzo
SG: Hill, Matthews, Brown
SF: Middleton, Connaughton, Thanasis
PF: Giannis, Ersan, DJ
C: Lopez, Lopez

That Koufos tweet was just a pretty standard favor to an agent. Nothing to see.
